The Velcro fitment is weird. Doesn't work well with anything but five-shot models as far as revolvers go, and with semi-autos, it doesn't always cover the trigger adequately enough to really protect it from potentially getting snagged. The rubber strips on the long part that goes between the mattress and box spring are WORTHLESS for providing enough traction/friction to keep the holster assembly in place, especially if you have a fairly heavy gun (like a 1911) hanging in there along with a flashlight or spare mag. The elastic part for the flashlight/mag is snug at first, but stretches out and loses its elasticity VERY quickly ... like, within a week, in fact. If you don't have a flashlight with a clip on it or a really flared-out end to act as a stop, eventually your flashlight (like an LED Mini-Maglite, for example) will just fall right on through. The whole assembly has a tendency to hang reeeeeeeally low, too, so unless you have reeeeeeeally long, oversized sheets and/or a big huge comforter on your bed, this thing isn't staying hidden at all.
You CAN at least fix the traction/friction issue by attaching some rubberized drawer liner material (using spray adhesive) to both sides of the between-mattress section, and as mentioned you could specifically stick with certain sizes/styles of flashlights and firearms that will fit specifically in this thing and not pull it out from weight alone. Or ... you could just make your own bedside holster (as I did, YEARS ago) with a flat piece of wood for the between-mattress part, with strips of fine sandpaper glued on for traction, and a cheap-o universal airsoft holster (like five bucks) that has an attached spare mag/flashlight pouch, and you wind up with something that works twice as well AND costs half as much.
Overall, unless you're just adamantly opposed to DIY solutions or looking for something of higher quality ... don't bother with this thing. Only giving it two stars because it DOES work ... but only with modification and only with certain gun/light setups.

Simple, affordable, and effective, but weapon lights will require modification.

Before I purchased this holster, I was skeptical about my weapon light-equipped pistol fitting in it properly. But for the really low price, I gave it a try. When it arrived, my suspicions were confirmed: Picatinny rail-mounted lights (and lasers) require a modification because the diagonal stitching makes a V-shaped funnel through which a pistol with light will not fit.
I cut out the slanted stitching, then moved the hook-and-loop pistol wrap much higher on the back of the holster. (See photos.) That allowed the trigger to be completely covered while rotating the pistol about 17 degrees clockwise. In my case the pistol still needs to fit loosely in the holster so the light (SureFire X300) doesn't get hung up on the fabric edges during the draw. (The X300 is a little wider than my full-sized M&P frame, and snagging has been an issue with various other universal holsters.) The product photos depict a separate flashlight, which would be a different way to deploy a bright light for target identification. However drawing both a pistol and a light requires two hands, which is not very easy to do when lying in bed (the situation for which this holster was chiefly designed). Alternately, drawing the pistol one-handed first, then drawing the flashlight might require transferring the weapon between strong and weak hands, which is not something I want to do if I'm suddenly awakened from slumber. I'd rather draw the weapon and light simultaneously. A weapon light makes that really easy, just not with the original stitching on this holster.
With this mod, I've been practicing my draw and the results have been reliable. There might be a more elegant solution out there, but if you like weapon-mounted lights and affordable mattress holsters, all you need is a knife to remove the stitching to make this holster work.

I research everything I buy online before I buy. My lovely wife tells me I must be neurotic based on how much time I spend on researching products. She suggested I see a doctor for some medication. But I digress.
After researching numerous products and reading all the reviews, I settled on the Explorer Tactical for my bedroom. I am very pleased with the product. High quality and it has more features and benefits than any of the others. It is fully adjustable for the gun as well as the holder for the flashlight. The mag holder is not adjustable but it is very flexible and it fits my 380ACP mag as well as my 9mm mag.
It has reinforced eye holes for hanging in the closet and the fabric and anti slip strips are all high quality. The sewing is also high quality.
Great product for the price and is loaded with features. Stop looking and buy it, I have done all the research you need.

I purchased the cheapest holster and it came with 3 places for storage. 1st. place was for my Glock 17 with a laser sight and a plus 2 magazine. This is a full size pistol and heavy with 20 rounds of 9mm. 2nd. place was for a Maglight AA battery flashlight. The 3rd. place I did not use, if I need more than 20 bullets in the gun an extra magazine won't help.
The holster seams to stay in place between the mattress and the box spring. I think this is a good buy and with the holster being adjustable with the Velcro it will fit your gun. The elastic flashlight holder works with my Maglight. The magazine holder has Velcro for adjustment and will fit most extra magazines. I will use safety pins to keep this holster in place if it moves or falls out of place.
I would purchase this holster again and the price is very affordable.I don't need anything fancy to hold my pistol where know one will see it.

Perfect for a family without kids! Easy access and a well built product.

So, I was a little concerned at first because this thing is made to slip between a box spring and a mattress. I have a memory foam bed without a box spring, so I wasn't sure how well it could work. However, for under $15, worst case scenario I pass it on to a friend.
I live in an apartment in a not-so-amazing part of town (college town, needed the cheapest apartment possible. With personal defense and renter's insurance, I feel very safe here. So, I decided to get something to allow me to have easy access to a firearm in the middle of the night....and it's also in a place where nobody would really actively look for a firearm as they're ransacking my house while I'm not home.
I got this in the mail this week, it was packaged well. I took it out, set it up exactly as pictured (I have a full-framed CZ-75B Omega in the holster). It holds the firearm, a flashlight, and a magazine with no problem. I put it between the memory foam mattress and the bunkie board/wood frame the mattress sits on and it did have a bit more play than I liked, but that was more the fault of the mattress than the product. I then put it *under* the board and there was enough tension to hold the gun/light/magazine without any problems.
This is definitely worth it's price. Reasonably priced, easily adjustable, and holds a steel full-framed pistol without sag or issue.
My only caveat: I'm a single guy so I see no issue with this product. If you have kids and they have easy access to your bedroom, I'd definitely reconsider this product.
