You are probably going to want a minimum of 150 per fatbike tire. This is a great price for twenty dollars. The tool works, I have my own that I prefer to use by hand and I get better results. But overall a good value.

Great product for the price. I did both front tires with this kit and tried them out after a snow storm today. Very slippery roads with hard packed snow and ice. My little front wheel drive Hyundai held the road as good as the all-wheel drive vehicles.

I haven't biffed it yet this winter. Initially I just drilled them in my tires willy-nilly. That caused flats, so I repositioned the studs to the outer center tread (during daylight hours this time), using one stud every other tread. They work fantastic and though I haven't looked closely, I don't believe any have fallen off. I keep my tires at 40 psi but can go up to a max of 65. I am glad I bought them. (9mm)

A little hard to install as I believe the included bit is recessed too far. Hard to get the head to sink into shoe sole. I inserted a small piece of metal to stand off the studs a bit. They are definitely carbide. Been walking/running with my dogs on frozen sidewalks in MN and open concrete for about 2 weeks now. No noticeable wear on the carbide studs.

I bought the shortest studs, not short on the outside but shorter threads so they wouldn't puncture my bike inner tubes. They make winter riding a blast.
