Took some time to put together, after you get the first few panels put together, you start to understand how to do it and get faster as it. The white version is just primed, so it has a "chalky" feeling to the wood. I didn't want to go through the effort to paint it as i knew it would take too much time, but it could definitely use a coat of paint. As i was putting the Catio together, the wood isn't the best wood and in some areas, the wood actually split when i put the screw in, but since it was only a couple places, it was stuff sturdy enough to hold.
I ended up reinforcing the bottom with 2x8s, but more so because the catio wasn't tall enough to reach our windows for the cat screen door so that allowed me to make it taller. Also lined the perches with turf as the wood is ruff and chalky feeling, so i didn't think the cats would like it as is.
Overall, i'm very satisfied with the product, it looks good and the cats are enjoying the warm weather outside.

Buy a clamp-Easy assembly!

Instructions were easy to follow and I highly recommend using a clamp!! I put this together by myself in about 1.5 hours. Put two vertical panels together then clamp to the other panels to screw together. It helps with getting everything nice and flush and holds it in place while you screw it! The wood is soft and light so I didn't have to use much muscle and I liked that!
Easy To Assemble

Believe it or not I constructed this inside my family room! I took one of my feral cats to my vet to be neutered and he tested positive for FIV. Not willing to have him euthanized I looked for a way to bring him inside on a permanent basis without exposing my other kitties to the virus. This fit the bill perfectly. He has lots of room to move around and I made some adjustments so that I could attach an extra cage for his litter box so it would not take up any space in the actual cathouse. It was easy to assemble and all the pieces were well marked with numbers and letters and the instructions were clear. I am a 69 year old woman and I had no problems putting it together. This kit does come in two shipments and I didn't get the second box for a couple of days so I did contact customer service and they were quick to respond and very helpful. The second box showed up later that same day. It doesn't have a floor so I did set it on top of a piece of linoleum to make clean up easier. I am very happy with this purchase and it looks nice. Best of all it is helping to save a life.
Yea that roof isn't lasting very long, better than building everything from scratch~

Almost a full year in New England weather. The wood has gone from a faint red to a more faded green-yellow, that's fine. The 3-piece roof, as others have mentioned, doesn't last very long. Replaced it with a roof panel from Ondura (available at a local Home supply store) that was pretty much the perfect size.
I'm not sure if there's a coyote nearby or what, but I ended up having to replace a wire mesh panel because one day I noticed it was bent in so far, with most of the staples popped off.
Aside from that, easy enough assembly, light enough, sturdy enough. Ended up moving the shelves up myself because it was easy enough, and they seemed low to start with.

Much easier to assemble than expected.

The only things that I did not like (but which were easily fixable) are: 1) The instructions have you put the door hardware on before you assemble the entire structure. Latches worked fine at first, but after assembly of structure latches misaligned. My advice is save that for last step after assembly of structure. 2) Roof needs to be sloped, normally is flat. Need to add a 1x2 the length of the unit on the house side and use longer screws. This will let water run away from house. Other than that no complaints. Cats absolutely love it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the extra work that needs to be done.
