Installation is definitely a challenge as most would be. Bought in December of 2021 and finally took a trip where it may have been used. Before we even made it to our final destination, side by side was still on our trailer and I heard the winch clicking. Upon investigation I found the winch was spooling in and out randomly. I disconnected the battery to kill power to it. After a week of 4 wheeling, the winch was continuously spooling in and out. We were almost home and when I checked it, the winch had pulled itself in so tight it damaged my cable stop and started fraying the synthetic rope. I have contacted the seller, awaiting a reply. I will update my review.

We just got a new 4Runner and I'm adding all kinds of toys to the interior and exterior. I wanted to have a winch as an option and even-though this one says it's for ATVs, I figured using snatch block with severely lesson the weight of my SUV and make this 4500 pound winch work well. Since installing it, I've tried it a few times and it's not bad. I was afraid it would be under powered, but it held its own. I also attached the winch to a quick release trailer receiver that bolts onto a cradle plate that Amazon sells. This way I didn't have to drill holes into my frame and through my bumper on my new 2020 4 Runner. I guess the one draw back is I can only use the winch from the rear, but it'll have to do for now.

I found the install to be fairly easy, although I'm mechanically inclined and the directions were alright. I really like the wireless remote and is one of the main reasons I chose this model. Also, I bought the configuration that has the steel rope, not synthetic. I do believe that if the cable ever breaks it can be changed.

All the bolts, electric connections, OEM mounting plate, and hook came in the very heavy package. I use a tow strap to increase the length of where I can pull from and as mentioned earlier the snatch block reduces my drag quite a bit. Don't buy this model if you need to pull very heavy vehicles, but a mid size SUV and smaller works great. I did try and pull my Chevy Tahoe and I could hear the strain.

DO NOT FORGOT TO WEAR GLOVES AND PUT A TOWEL OR SOMETHING OVER THE CABLE WHEN PULLING. This is winch 101 safety my friends!

So. We have a hunting cabin up in the mountains. It has already snowed up there unexpectedly and of course, that was when the husband decided to take the corolla up without checking the weather (gas mileage on the beater is so much nicer than the truck lol). Well, he couldn't get all the way up during the evening so decided to just leave the car halfway on the driveway and "deal with it in the morning". hahahaha. This is what we woke up to. Thus, the purchase of a winch so that my full of wisdom husband won't have this problem again since we keep the JD tractor up there.

First of all, the installation on the tractor was really easy. There was multiple installation wiring kits included and everything was not only clearly labeled, but all of the installation guide was in legit English! It took my husband less than an hour to put everything together and that was double checking himself too.

Having the wireless remote was even better because he could control the winch while in the tractor instead of my butt standing out in the cold with him (not my fault, not my problem in this household lol). The motor has a very smooth, even pulling power too. No crazy jerking movements of stutters when it was pulling the car up and straight. And on a different note, it actually has a pretty small and streamlined look on the tractor. Weather resistant and water resistant too. Overall, the perfect emergency item for the cabin, as my husband clearly found out.

I needed a winch capable of pulling my john boat off the ground and onto the trailer. A friend had a smaller winch that was overworked doing this so I went to a larger unit with plenty of power.

Installed this on my 2022 Can-Am Commander. Had to purchase a different winch plate from SuperATV as the factory plate is set up for a different mounting bolt pattern. That didn't bother me though, because the new winch plate is HEAVY DUTY. Used the winch this past weekend and it functioned great. I will do a follow up review after some more time on the trails.
