I wanted something slimmer but they’re quality

I don't have skinny calves by any means,average build. the size was a bit large on me and they're too bulky for under-wear style but they're nice. Might wear em for snowboarding or bmx instead of the intended motorcycling that I got them for.

I use these for mountain biking. Yes, they are a generic design with other brands putting their logos on them and selling them as their own, but do they work? Yes!
At first they felt weird but I quickly got used to them. I started sweating right away but while pedaling I didn't notice the heat or sweat anymore. As long as the straps are aligned to the velcro properly, they are comfortable enough and not really noticeable.
I haven't had a big spill yet but I tested these by letting myself fall off my bike and landing knee first onto concrete, I felt no pain. Of course the aftermath from a real crash would constitute more merit, but I feel confident that these will protect me.
My only complaint is that the velcro hook sections on the pads are too short causing there to be about 5 to 6 inches of straps flapping in the air. I don't know why this is if I have average sized legs, but I just sewed on more velcro and that did the trick!
They look good and work well after adding the extra velco, so I cannot complain at all especially for the price. I'm happy with my purchase!

I bought a pair these last year and they are great for non-hardcore motorcycling. I mostly ride logging roads and some single track but nothing too serious. I have wiped out on gravel and larger rocks and was glad I was wearing these.
They are easy to put on, lightweight, easy to store and rugged. I even wore them during some carpetry work. I think the price is fair for what I use them for.

I actually wear these for work and they have outlasted knee pads I had purpose bought for construction that had external plastic.
I dont know if its because the plastic is internal or a better material but it has held up so far and longer than other pads I've owned.

I have winter riding armor, full. In the summer way too hot so decided to go with a lightweight armored summer riding jacket and knee-pads. At my age I do not heal up as easy as I used to and it takes a while even for minor injuries (That wouldn't be considered minor by most people). I am very pleased with these knee pads. They are lightweight. Fit well for me, I am 6'1 and 220. Offer some protection and will probably prevent more serious knee injury if I were to go down.
