Very pleased so far! Set-up was quick & easy, accurate temp readings, easy to read etc. The time is easy to read from any distance. However, other data must be read up close with a light source. Would be nice to have the option of low or high illumination or back lighting, as available on similar items (like my ancient digital clock radios!). The data is exactly what pertains to me, as I don't care about humidity or the rain in Spain. If not for the lack of illumination, I'd definitely give it a High-5, 2-Thumbs-Up!

This is an amazing clock, and for a good price. The size is great for any wall, and the dials are very easy to read from a distance, as they are very well defined on the screen. Better than that, at night when you turn off the room lights, the clock does not bother you at all with that glow that other clocks have. The setup was also easy, but be advised that it may take a whole 24 hours before the atomic clock sync comes through (which happens daily in the middle of the night), just like the instructions warn us. Mine was totally off for the entire day I installed it, but when I woke up the next day, it was all synchronized perfectly. So patience does pay off. After fiddling around with various clocks, I am glad I finally found one that checks all the blocks.

I have had an outdoor temperature wall clock in my kitchen for 20 years. Every 2 to 4 years I have to replace it. The only brand I could every by was La Cross. They seem to have corner on the market. But their system is not robust. The temp sensors do not last long, and it is tricky to get them to sync after battery changes. I have also had issues with the clock time syncing with the atomic clock signal. Endless frustration. When their sensor fails, you can by another one, but sometimes it will not work. I assume the issue is the clock, then buy another. This pattern goes on. I always look for another brand, but never find one. Finally, this time I found the Marathon clock. They have very few models to choose from, and cost more, but I was so annoyed with my previous experience with La Cross, I did not care. This clock just seemed better from the start. I expected the same confusing controls and frustrating atomic clock and sensor syncing, as with La Cross. This time, I popped in the batteries for the clock, which it came with, then the sensor, batteries, and instantly, the temp was reading from the clock. The atomic clock function, which are notoriously finicky, also had the time correct within 2 min. The display is also sharper and easier to read than my retired La Cross clock. We will see how long it lasts, but the initial impression is very good. Also, the controls on the clock back are way better. Lots of buttons for separate features instead of a few confusing multi-function buttons I am used to fighting over. Not that I had to use them, since it was all set up perfect by just adding batteries.

This atomic clock is easier to read than the last one we had, which fell and cracked the screen. There is a lighter background all around the numbers and the numbers are large, so they stand out and can be read across the room. The day spelled out makes it easier to see rather than two or three letter abbreviations I would have to search for. The layout has all I need, to include the date and temperatures, which I can read closer to the clock during daylight or lights on. Without backlighting, it can not be read in the dark, but still works for my needs and better than the last.
