IPD adjuster is defective
Troy AndersonMay 9, 2018
I really want to like these goggles but having the IPD adjusted with one knob is awful. I can get one eye really great but not both clear at the same time. I'm really sad because I love everything else about them but this one thing renders them unflyable.
Slightly better than FatShark Dom v3s
Aussie57April 27, 2018
Didn't keep them because my Dom V3s are just as good and will probably have better resale value. SD card slot is in a much better place than the ridiculous placement of the dominator and the screen and DVR are slightly better on the fg01 but not worth switching in my opinion. If you didn't have Fatsharks these might be a good choice. No independent ipd adjustment can be a deal breaker for some also
brand new FG01 goggle review.
JimApril 7, 2018
Fantastic googles. Let me say that the only other Fatshark googles I have are the attitude v3 and the Transformer. I love both of them. The V3's are my back pack googles but the Transformers give you the biggest image.

The FG01, or what ever they are called are much brighter and higher resolution image. And the 16:9 screen is the only way to go, even on a 4:3 camera. My V3's seem to have a bigger screen, or it seems to be closer, but I'll take the falcon any day of the week. The wider screen, compact and light weight style will definitely relegate my Transformers to the ride along, back up position.

A couple of negatives. Foam around the faceplate is cheap. I've ordered some aftermarket cotton padding for fatshark goggles, well see how those work. As reported on the youtube reviews the nose does pinch a little. I removed the foam and velcro totally from this area. Light leakage is not an issue because the screen is so bright. The head strap is a joke. Its way too small for my head, and I don't have a freakn pumkin head, I ordered the flitetest head strap to replace it.

Lastly, and this is the big one, the pro58 module i'm using on this doesn't quite fit. It will fit in the bay but you can barely get at the jog wheel that allows you to go through the menus, and the channel select button on the goggles doesn't cycle through the all the channels on my module. Perhaps thats a firmware issue on the module, I have't updated that module yet. I plan on 3d printing a solution to not only the clearance but a need for a cover and the ability to secure the module. I envision two part system that extends the pin connections, moving the module out of the bay slightly and a cover that screws to the extension. I'll try to update this review with photos and files on thingverse when I'm done.

All and all I'm very happy with the googles.

Update
I purchased replacement aftermarket foam that made a huge difference to the fit. Cut away the nose foam like I did in the photo. Also the sd card can pop out. A little tape makes sure it's not lost. LOVE THESE GOGGLES!
