Careful hanging a breakable item on these

I am using mine on interior side of windows to hold some strung lights but one has fallen twice (in the morning both times) and all I can think is that the temperature difference from night to morning sunlight weakens the suction somehow.
When I install them they seem sturdy, and only the morning window one has failed (the other one is installed on the opposite window that gets afternoon sun and hasn't fallen yet).

We had been using a plastic suction cup hook to hold the squeegee in our shower but it kept falling off so we got these and they work amazing! If you have glass shower doors and need extra towel hooks, these would work great! They also look really nice with the rest of our black fixtures.
