I rarely post product reviews... am doing so here because I want this company to flourish - as I'm addicted to these drinks. Dark Chocolate is my favorite (with Cold Brew a close second). They feel lite & clean to drink while also being very filling & energizing. Rare & powerful combo. It's hands down the best protein drink I have ever had!

I must admit for me, this was a brilliant purchase. My typical morning routine was to have a cup of coffee and then eat some kind of protein, which usually meant frying up some bacon, scrambling some eggs, etc. But then a friend told me about this protein drink that contains cold brew coffee! BAM! Suddenly my morning routine went from two steps to one. :-D As for the drink itself, it's for sure one of the tastiest protein drinks I've encountered. The main take-away for me is "smooth." Sometimes protein drinks have a thicker, chalky texture and a weird aftertaste -- like your tongue's a little coated with something. Not this! Maybe it's because it's entirely "plant based"? There's also NO SOY which to me is a good thing because soy protein drinks, in the past, haven't been too kind on my digestive system. So now that I've scored with the coffee flavor (for breakfast), I'm definitely gonna grab a case of the vanilla and chocolate OWYN, too. Great meal supplement, or substitute! Highly recommend!

Best protein shake/powder I've tried. No artificial sweeteners, a fraction of the sugar found in other shakes without artificial sweeteners, and easy to digest - can drink it any time of day, drink multiple shakes in one day without even the slightest discomfort. Tastes pretty ordinary, nothing special about the taste, but nothing negative there either. With pretty much any other product out there you'd be looking at 4-5x the sugar content, or artificial sweeteners in its place. This is probably the only product that offers what it does without artificial sweeteners or heaps of sugar. I ordered my first 12 pack just to try it, and it was so good I ordered another 12 pack when I had only finished 4 out of the first pack, just to make sure I wouldn't run out.

I saw my grown son was drinking a soy-based protein drink, that also has canola oil and maltodextrin in it. None of those are healthy, so I set out to find him a better vegan protein drink; I knew it was important to him that it be plant-based. Glad to find OWYN. He prefers the flavor, and this protein drink is as clean as any I have found (except collagen protein drinks, but animal-based is a no-go for him.) It has sugar in it, but well within a 15-20 grams per day limit that is not too harmful. Because he uses it as a breakfast replacement, he would prefer more calories. That was his only complaint. I might have considered OWYN for myself but most natural practitioners I know of advise stearing clear of "natural flavors," which turns out aren't natural. (There is no legal definition for use of the word "natural" so it could be MSG or any number of things.) But he's young and doesn't have auto-immune or digestive issues and I'm satisfied that this is way better for him than anything else like it.
