What an education this thing provides! Keep yourself and your family safe...because the electric company and cell phone companies won't tell you about the dangers of too much EMF/RF exposure. It's really almost unbelievable. And now we're got to be aware of the new "smart meters" on the outside of our homes (you can opt-out).

This is a great buy for what it is and a must have!! I like to use the backlight ON feature which is hidden near the battery. Although it consumes small amount of battery, it is still useful to avoid forgetting to turn the knob to all the way to OFF.

Best Buy! Must have tool for going to open houses or apartment hunting to find an EMF free home. Also helpful for optimal bed placement. Safe levels are less than 1mG in the Magnetic mode. Make sure your bedroom, nursery, are safe. I've seen homes with regular power lines (non high voltage) in front with 5mG+ in all areas. I also own the cheaper Orange colored Chinese brand which is not accurate, avoid. This unit is worth the money.

I have watched many reviews on items like this one, and it seems that the consensus for this meter is that the magnetic field detector functionality is very sensitive and I find it very true as I've tested it. The machine gets its reading from multiple planes at once rather than a single field (other cheaper machines do this) so you get a faster reading. I feel like this meter is a very reasonable entry level machine to give you a very good idea of magnetic fields around you (and radio waves and electric fields although less accurate as many other reviews online have said). It's not cheap but when you're house hunting, it's a really great tool to have in you're hand.
