This purchase was a TikTok made me buy it. I bought this because the brazilian cheese bread looked really good. Me and the kids ended up not liking the brazilian cheese bread, so now Im on the hunt to find other recipes to use this flour on. Seems like a good product otherwise, but I am not coming from any baking experience.
Bien

Perfect for grain-free baking

Amazon usually has the best price for this product so I prefer to buy a 4-pack. I like to make grain-free baked goods so I go through a lot of this. It's a very fine powder so handle with care. It can be messy, especially when getting it out of the bag or resealing the bag. I use it along with almond flour to make tortillas, cookies or by itself in Brazilian cheese bread. There are also several Colombian recipes, like Bunuelos, that require tapioca flour.
I also use it to make my own dry shampoo, along with cacao powder. Works great!

I have been using this product for many years and never had a problem with orders from amazon for bobs red mill products. I did not want to slap bobs red mill with a negative review, but I am unappy with amazon's return policy. one of the packages had a hole in it-may have been a factory defect and alot of the flour had leaked out of the package. because I could not be sure of any contamination in the flour, I threw one bag out. I am writing this review so people realize even though the package was defective and perhaps the product itself was contaminated IT IS NOT RETURNABLE. this flour is expensive and so I will be looking elsewhere to purchase my gluten free flours.
Good price, I order in bulk

Tapioca flour is needed to make Pan de quejo, this stuff is great for it. Take one bag of this, 1 3/4 cups milk, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 2 eggs and about 12 ounces of shredded cheese. Traditionally mozzerella is used but i mix half sharp cheddar. heat the milk and oil to just before boiling and pour into mixing bowl with the flour with the mixer paddle going. add the eggs, then the cheese. It will be sticky dough. drop a tablespoon of dough on tray with either silpat or parchment paper and bake for 7 minutes at 350. you can also spoon out the dough onto a cookie sheet and freeze it for later use. From frozen bake them for 9 minutes.
