I've been looking at yost clamps for a while, several types and forms, and a couple weeks ago I knew I was going to need to add a couple 18" clamps for an upcoming project, I took it as the tipping point to try out a couple yost clamps. I'm already a fairly mixed bag of brands. Some Besseys, some Irwins, some harbor freight, some generics, honesty if it works I'm OK with it. The Yost I got seemed pretty close to the irwin's F-clamps I already have, visually same profile, rivet size, similar groves, really the only difference is the handle, and honestly the yost's handle, a bit larger than the irwins and the rubber grip actual felt a bit nicer. It clamps as well and at about half the cost of the big box stores, and not much more than harbor freight (without the potential quality risk of HF tools), I can see myself adding some more Yost clamps to my collection in the future.

Rusted a little but can be cleaned. Works very well for woodworking. The turn will tighten and freeze but will untighten straight away.

An easy to use F-clamp. It's lightweight for professional use, but works just fine for homeowners and DIYers. I used mine (plus another, 30" version of the Yost) to clamp a kitchen cabinet together while glue set.

The lower "jaw" slides (just press the tab in, and push), and the height of the jaw adjusts via a traditional-style screw. There's small rubberized pads on each side of the jaw to avoid damaging whatever you're clamping.

Those pads are my only quibble-- the upper one comes off too easily, and is likely to go missing.

I did notice people complaining the pads are too small, the jaws are too shallow, etc-- I suspect if folks need professional design clamps, or ones designed to apply greater amounts of pressure across larger areas, they'll have to pay for that.

I, for one, appreciate a well-made, inexpensive clamp. For my sporadic use, I wouldn't want to pay any more-- and I'm happy there's a decent clamp in this pricing. Recommended.

These are good clamps, especially for the price. The movable jaw does so freely and without binding and stays in place once released. The handle turns quite freely, again without binding, and is easy to release once needed.

These have worked well on the projects I have used them on, including a black walnut desktop for my wife. Using 1"x6" boards for the top, the clamps worked extremely well in keeping everything together/square while drying which meant minimal need from me to adjust anything later on.

One issue I did have and it was only with 2 of the 16 clamps I purchased. With the handle there is a small retaining washer that keeps the screw handle in place when backed all the way down. On the 2 clamps that washer was either missing when I received them or fell off before I used them. The first time I screwed the handles all the way down, the whole handle came off. It was an easy fix and both are again fully operational, so not a problem in the long run but it is something I feel shouldn't have been a problem with which to begin.

Works as advertised, used it on a folding closet door to mend a crack that had developed.
