Needed a better vacuum for getting pet hair out of the carpets and up off of the floors and furniture in the house. The refurb unit is a great value money wise and an absolute beast when it come to suction power.
My unit was refurbished by Dyson. Read the instructions and turn OFF the brush bar when vacuuming bare floors and throw rugs. If you have ANY loose strands showing on your carpet or rugs you should trim them off before vacuuming or it may suck them up into the machine and make the problem worse.
This machine only has a light hazing of the dirt chamber showing it was used but the rest of the unit looks like new, all new filters but you could smell a bit of the "old" dirt when you first fire it up or disassemble the unit for inspection. Not bad just noticeable.

Wow-cannot believe I went so long without a good vacuum cleaner. This thing is an absolute UNIT. Yes, it's a little heavy. But it has POWER.

I have a cat and I also have long hair. Between the two of us, we generate a lot of shed hair, straight into the carpet. This is the first vacuum cleaner that sucked up all our hair without clogging and stopping (I even broke a vacuum one time, snapped clean in half-girl's got thick hair, what can I say?). I did have to clean off the layer of hair that got wrapped around the bottom brush but to the vacuum's credit, it was still picking things up while covered with hair!

I had no trouble putting it together, and didn't notice any issues with it being refurbished. The kickstand works fine as long as you set it correctly, but it's finicky-my cat rubbed against it while it was standing before I could put it away and it toppled over.

I vacuum weekly, and had my carpets steam cleaned a few weeks ago. Despite that, I could not believe how much dust this monster managed to pull out of the carpets on its first pass. This was for sure a good purchase.

I despised vacuuming the house until I purchased this vacuum. It sounds ridiculous, but a good vacuum really does change the way you clean. I must admit, the first time I used it I was quite disgusted with myself, because I finally realized how much dirt and dust I had been living in. My previous vacuum was a piece of garbage and only skimmed the surface... this Dyson will suck up and remove dirt that has been there since before the stone age. I actually look forward to using this awesome piece of machinery and seeing it do it's job. I have a lot of long hair and shed quite often and I also own a high shedding dog, but with this Dyson you would think I was petless and bald.

I have really enjoyed using this, I bought it refurbished but was immediately comforted by the fact it comes with a certificate that states it was refurbished by Dyson and has a 6 month warranty. I was looking for a new vacuum to replace my old Bissell that had served well for many years and just didn't clean like it used to. I had always wanted to try a Dyson but was always scared away by their price. possibly my only complaint is the hose is a bit of a hassle if you use it for corners or behind furniture as it gets pinched easily, great for ceiling corners though.

So i was vacuuming this morning and was looking up the model number to order new filters and realized i bought this in 2019. it still works really well and only had to take it apart once to clear out a clog in the line. This is an excellent product and a superb refurbishment.

The suction on this thing is PHENOMENAL. Can't tell at all that it's used with the exception of one of the stickers being kind of worn looking. Very good quality. Dyson's are just expensive so I can't really give it five stars in the value for money but WOW. I will say that can be difficult (and when I say this I am definitely nit-picking) to get it to lock into the upright position but that's not a big problem at all. The amount of cat hair that was in my only two year old carpet was SICK. I will literally never buy another vacuum knowing how much my other vacuums WEREN'T doing.
