Missed having a bag

I have used many popular name brand bagels vacuums. While they did work the dust would always fly up when employee canister. This works just as well if not better than than the other vacuums I have used with the added bonus of not getting dust everywhere.
The product is as it claims to be

The vacuum cleaner is quieter than I thought it would be. Also it has great suction and is easy to move about the house.
This Hoover sucks!

I mean, it has great suction!
I've been using feather-light vacuums for years because I can't lift a heavy machine up and down stairs due to spinal problems, and we used to lived in a 2-story home. But lightweight vacuums are light because they use a smaller (less powerful) motor, so they end up requiring more pushing and repetitions to get the job done. After we moved into a home with no stairs, I got this heavy Hoover with the 12 amp motor, and I'm pleased with its suction power.
My only complaint is that the hose is way too short, and so is the extension wand. The hose is supposed to be 8 feet, but it doesn't even reach 6 feet when I pull hard and stretch it to the max, and I've stretched it so much it's already cracked at the end and I need to get a replacement - and I've only had this vacuum for 10 months. As for the extension wand, I juryrigged a wand from a previous vacuum - it doesn't exactly fit so I had to duct tape it to the hose end.
If this machine had a longer hose and a longer wand it would deserve 5 stars.
Btw, I believe the reason this vacuum continues to have good suction power is that it uses a bag. I've never understood how bagless vacuums came to dominate the market because they don't last - they lose their suction ability over time as the motor inevitably gets clogged and they end up in the land fill. I've contributed a few of them to the land fill myself. Now I'm glad to have a good bagged vacuum and I expect it will last a long time (except for having to replace the dang hose.)

I have had this vaccuum about a year. It works great on sucking up pet hair, dust, and dirt. I really like the ability to convert to a hose and crevice tool with ease. It sucks up from right at the edge of the head, it doesn't leave a narrow strip unclean that can only be gotten by hand. However, the lever you press to release the handle from upright lock to allow it to swivel up and down so you can use the vaccuum broke and I had to take it to a shop for repair. They also said the belts were bad and a portion of the main case was cracked. This machine replaced a 40 year old Hoover that worked fine but was very heavy. I don't think I will get anywhere close to that lifetime out of this. But overall, very happy with its performance, just wish the plastics were a bit more solid.
