this is a nice pot, can't wait to brew in it. Installed the fittings very fast with no leaks( however, I am a plumber). Take time and you will not have leaks.

i've been brewing for about 6 years with an aluminum pot and weak burner, recently upgraded my system to this 15 gal kettle and a KAB4 burner. haven't brewed with it yet but i assembled, brought to a boil and leak tested. the valve, thermometer and fittings all seem of good quality, after reading comments of leaking i was sure to be diligent. when wrapping the threads with the provided teflon tape i couldn't help but notice it was some really lousy quality tape, i always have decent teflon tape on hand so i decided to use that instead with no leaks on my first test. the silicone gaskets were and still are of slight concern as this new burner is pretty powerful, in testing up to boil they held just fine but i'll be keeping spare high temp gaskets on hand just in case. all of those concerns were pretty moderate, the biggest concern was that it'd be thin and cheaply built, and i have to say i'm pretty pleased with the thickness of the pot, and as much as i'd like a thicker bottom i don't think it'll be detrimental to my brews and will definitely withstand a lot of brewing. idk if it's BIFL durable, but it'll definitely brew until my attention span has me scaling up to bigger batches and for me it makes more sense than buying at 300$+ pot

fantastic. fits perfectly over a dark star propane burner, quick to reach a boil under full blast, and holds temps very well. The thermostat is accurate, and the ball valve makes draining a breeze. The handles are sturdy and I was not worried about moving a full 15gal of liquid around when brewing.

to note:
use a lot of the thread tape when assembling the thermostat and drain valve, if you dont use enough tape or dont tighten enough, there will inevitably be a small leak. However, when you start the mash boil the leak will seal itself as the mash dries around the leak.

Make sure there is a silicone washer on both the inside and outside of each component, as the washers tend to stick together.

Be careful if youre doing BIAB, as the thermometer can snag the grain bag if its over-filled
