I can't believe I didn't know about these sooner!!!

I (we - my husband also got a pair and loved them) bought these to take on our Mexico beach vacation. I've brought other water shoes before, and while good for excursions and such, they were not good for just walking on the beach because they would quickly fill with sand. THESE are great for beach walking! The sand on the beach in Cabo heats up quickly during the day, and will actually burn your feet if you're not careful! These made it so easy to just slip on and walk on the sand without feeling ANY heat. They are also SUPER comfortable! They are light weight and soft. I actually wondered if they were going to work and hold up because of that, but they were perfect!

We also used them when we went Kayaking and Jet Skiing; they had great traction for getting on and off the equipment. Additionally, I wore mine in my flippers when we went snorkeling, because I inevitably either rub my heals and/or the tops of my feet raw if I don't wear something, and these fit in the flippers perfectly.

NOTE!!!!!! DON'T GET A SHORTER ANKLE VERSION! Get the taller - over the ankle - crew size. My niece brought a different brand that was only ankle height, and she had a LOT of trouble with hers quickly filling up with sand just walking on the beach.

Also - these are not for standing and playing in the rough surf and letting the waves (full of sand) crash over your feet and legs. Even with the adjustable ankle strap, the waves were too strong, and would push the sock down, which would then cause them to fill up with sand.

They are easy to wash and quick to dry. I just washed ours in the sink with some mild soap, rinsed well, and hung them to dry.

The size was also perfect for both me and my husband. I wear a size 7 to 7.5 women's and purchased the Small. My husband wears a size 10, and we got him the Large.

I got really tired of rocks sneaking into my water shoes or sandals. If you live by rivers and streams you know the inconvenience of a little odd shaped pebble stuck between your toes and a poorly designed water shoe.. not these. They have a left and right, as it is built with an arch and large toe protection. At first I put them on wrong thinking they felt funky but after the switch in socks I laughed at myself. Comes in all sizes I got medium equal to a 9.5 US MENS SIZE

An excellent product! They even had a U.S. Men's Size 14 that fits me (I wear size 14 shoes) comfortably, which is very hard to find anywhere else. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is that the styled part of the sock (the colored part that covers the top, sides, and ankle) was much thinner than I thought. It seems that the only thick parts are the areas that are black. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but diving fins (especially full-foot ones) can rub the top of your foot, leading to slight discomfort. Don't let that discourage you from buying this product, however. An excellent solution for cheap, multi-purpose, warm-weather beach/dive socks.

A few quick thoughts:
1) Sand still got inside the sock within a few minutes of being on the beach.
2) I have never seen a human foot shaped like the bottom of this thing.
3) I only knew what size to get from reading the other reviews (order a smaller size than normal). I normally wear a 8.5 in man-dude size, and the small is still a bit too long for my foot.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these socks for sand volleyball!
I bought these after I couldn't handle my feet being raw after playing a few hours of sand volleyball on rough sand. These socks have been perfect and they are holding up really well after a month of playing. I will put pics up at the end of summer to show you how they hold up. But even if they only last 1 summer they are so worth the price. Normal socks don't last 2 games.

I wear a 9.5 women's and I ordered a M (8-9) and they fit perfect.
