It is exactly as described. I used it yesterday and it is so perfect. The handle is ergonomic, so very comfortable to hold. It is light weight. It burns with ease. so glad it came with a rest because it gets really hot, so you need to set it down on something that won't burn. It comes with so many tips with is great to different types of applications. Love the carrying case too. Keeps it all together, organized and in one place.

Would have had more stars but product didn't last through three small projects. Carved wood to make name plates for my kids teachers as a gift using my dremel, then burnt the letters with the wood burning tool. Had to finish the last plate with the raw element used to heat up the accessories (pictured). The coupling seized up and when I attempted to unscrew it with pliers the plastic gave and fell apart (pictures). The accessories are nice but without a sturdier tool it is useless :(

Works great! Ive been able to cut my project times in half with this little tool. Heats up quick, cools down relatively fast as well. It's ergonomic as well, comfortable to use and doesn't cause the hand discomfort that the bigger, cheaper burners do.
One negative... But it's not that big of a deal in the scheme of things. During prolonged use, the tips tend to come loose. DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM WHILE HOT!! This has the potential to really screw up the pen. As in, no worky.. but that's the ONLY bad thing I have to day about it.

What a waste of money! I read the reviews before buying and they were all great. But something must have happened with this last batch because I had the same problems as those others that gave poor reviews in the last couple months. It was used one time, went to change the tip and the threads stripped rendering the whole unit entirely useless. I would advise to move along to another vendor.

Junk! Used twice. Only heats to 450 - my bad, didnt notice temp when purchased. Tips come loose while burning then you cant remove tips until cooled down. Once they become loose they dont heat and wont burn wood. Screw nut striped after 2nd use then plastic holder broke. Was extremely careful while using! Tip is also too long so accurate detail is difficult. I know it is not an expensive burner, but I thought I could at least complete one project before having to throw it away. Expectations were low when purchased, but much lower now. Not even worth returning to get money back. Live and learn, buy junk expect junk!
