Doesn't work for green CatIt fountain.

I bought two of these to replace the noisy pumps in my CatIt fountains. Beware that these are too big to fit into the newer Cat It fountain, which is green with a flower in the center.
This unit probably does not even hit 80 GPH but ...

This unit probably does not even hit 80 GPH but I wanted a low flow powerhead. There is an adjustable dial so one can turn the flow down even lower.
I bought two of these to test and tinker. Two different Chinese brands but they are identical except the packaging.
Currently, I use one to power an 8W UV steriliser in a planted tank. Then other I use with a five gallon bucket for lazy water changes when I do not want to disturb the water in my aquarium. It can barely pump upwards two feet but if I put the bucket on a chair it will pump a steady trickle of clear water into my aquariums while I siphon or even watch television. I will probably end up using it in a sump on a daisy chain of 5.5 gallon tanks when I start breeding shrimp.

Stay with me, it gets weird: I bought this pump to put into a crock pot that I have on a temperature controller because I use it as a sous vide oven. I added this cheap and durable pump to my hacked together sous vide to keep the water circulating so the temperature would be even and this little pump does exactly what it's supposed to do, even if I'm making a 20 hour ribeye.
Make sure you are bying it for what it is supposed to be used for. It cannot be used in a pet water fountain.

I am sure this is a fine unit! I wish I had read the description better, though, because I bought it for a cat water fountain, and I can't use it. It is made with a regular power cord, and I needed one of those break-away ones that can fit though the hole in the middle of the fountain. The seller was very understanding and gave me most of my money back and didn't make me return it, as it would have cost almost the exact same to return it as it cost to buy it in the first place. If you are using it for a fish tank, I'm sure it will work great for you.

10/25/2016 Update - Seller contacted me and stated they were sorry to hear that the pump stopped working and offered to send a replacement free of charge. I will further update this review after running the new pump for awhile. So far, I am impressed with the level of customer service I have received.
11/16/2016 Update - Seller did send a replacement unit as promised. Thus far it is operating well. I have updated my stars to represent the customer service that I have received. I took one star off since the first one only lasted 2 months. I will revise this later as I see how this pump performs.
