We bought these for our chicken house so we could set the lights to turn on at a certain time to make the chickens lay eggs. It works perfectly and yes, our chickens have produced 10 times the eggs they were! My husband set it up and said it was not hard at all! I would recommend these to anyone!

I have been using this timer for more than 5 years now. I bought 2 more to replace my older analog timers and use one as a countdown-to-off timer for a fan.
It MAY take some time to learn the programming but once you learn it, it is simple, really, and much more versatile than the analog timers. (plan your programings on paper first). 10 individual programming = more than you ever need for many variations of on/off. Plus, it has daylight saving time. Plus, a countdown-to-off function and a countdown-to-on function. And manual override button. I haven't had the need to use the "random" button yet.
(1) quality product, (2) quiet, (3) doesn't feel warm when in "off" intervals.

The neat thing about this item is the built in rechargeable battery that is inside in case power goes out your schedules are not lost.
So when the power returns the light schedule u had enacted goes on like nothing happened.
This item is a little tricky to remember how to set. But with the included instructions it can be done with minor difficulties.
I like that it has multiple schedules that can be run simultaneously. I like that it also has a countdown timer. This also has two outlets for power. I have been using mine for about 2 months without issue and on my preset schedule. I would buy this again. This is a heavy unit for how small it is. I chalk that up to how well this is made.

I now have 8 of these little timers. With 7 day programs and an easy on/off manual switch I use them everywhere. You can't beat the price and usefulness of this box. It only takes up one space on the outlet and it provides two switched outlets. To program, I take it out of the wall and sit down with it at a table--doing all 7 days takes time if you want each day different. The display functions work for weeks without being plugged in so its really easy to move it around to program and then go plug it back in.
The instructions are a bit tiny to read but easy enough to understand. I downloaded some and use my PC to read them rather than try to squint at the tiny insert that is packed in the box. I also use one to switch on/off my pool pump by having this timer power up a relay box to the pool--way better than those ugly mechanical dial things used for hot water tanks and pool pumps. If there is a better timer anywhere on the market I haven't seen it yet.
