I'm going to preface this with the fact that I was a previous Fitbit Aria user. And after a year of wildly inaccurate readings, I'd just had enough. Trying to loose weight is hard enough without dealing with a scale that varies anywhere from 20 lbs higher or lower at any given time. I'd done everything recommended by fitbit, and was even resetting the thing every day and having to weigh in 3 times in a row just to hopefully get a somewhat correct idea of how my diet plan was going. There was no way I was going to invest in the Aria 2 after the fiasco with the first one. So, enter the Nokia Body+... I've only had it a day and can already tell it's insanely better. It was a breeze to set up and it seems to give pretty accurate readings, never varying by more than a fraction of a pound. I don't know if it is as precise as a triple balance beam scale at a doctor's office, but I don't need it to be. I just need to know that I'm moving in the right direction. With the Fitbit Aria I had no idea if I'd actually lost weight, gained weight, or if the scale was acting up since it could be totally off even when weighing myself a few times within a few minutes. The Nokia Body+ is consistent with weigh-ins, and that's what's important for me. And the other features are handy too. I don't really think I need a scale that tells me the weather, but I do like the auto tracking and it easily linked up with my Fitbit account and my Weight Watchers account. Oh yeah, the Aria wouldn't even sync with WW properly and was throwing in all these weigh-ins that I'd deleted and every time it synced they just came back. So now Aria is an expensive paper weight, but I'm really happy with the Nokia scale. If you are deciding between the two, choose this one. Hands down.

From other reviews I was expecting the setup to be a challenge but if that was the only caveat I was willing to take that chance. I bought the scale, downloaded the app, turned the scale on, opened the app, and immediately I was prompted to setup the scale detected nearby... I was done within 5 minutes. My grandmother probably could have pulled that off. Perhaps I'm lucky but this was rather simple...

Beyond that, it does what I expect it to do, and even though I thought the weather thing was a bit of a gimmick (what's that have to do with my body composition?) I've grown to love that simple addition.

If I had to name a negative it would be that the app is a bit on the chatty side. If that's your thing, great! If not, you may want to disable notifications...

Just an update. I have had this scale for about 6 weeks. Very nice, I can now go online and look at my scale information instead of using my phone. I had to go to healthmate.health.nokia.com to open a free account but all of the info is there. It also shows my steps that MyFitnessPal tracks on my iphone 5. I really like this scale and I am impressed with it. Very easy after I read the instruction-lol.

I have had this Nokia Body + scale for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with it. I download their app onto my I Phone and followed the directions. I use the scale every day and it connects every time. It shows my weight and it is really close to what the scales in my doctors office reads. It weighs me consistent, it may be off by a few tenths of a pound when measuring multiple times but that is all. I like all of the BMI, water weight, muscle mass readings as well. Those readings may not be doctor office quality but they do give you a very good, reliable reference point to see if you are gaining or losing in those areas.

It uses 4 AA batteries which are included, scale updates itself via your wi-fi to internet.
Scale connects to your smart phone via blue tooth which records the info you selected during set up.
App needs to be downloaded onto your smart phone, very easy to use and app is customizable.
Very easy to setup the wi-fi and app, you just need to know your network and passcode,
Instructions are very easy to follow, it is shown on your phone after getting their app.

Scale is durable. I am a very big and heavy guy... 350 pounds worth, and the scale is super stable. It doesn't flinch when i get on.
My big 13 inch feet completely fit on the scale, no toes are hanging off. There is some additional room too!
Seems to work equally well on carpet with the included feet for carpet but I use mine on tile without the feet for carpet. I only tried carpet once.
Easy to read display that also shows on your phone.
Stylish and I think it comes in different colors, mine is black.

The downside, the finish is a fingerprint magnet. Dust shows very easily. It will need cleaned a lot.
I wish it could connect the scale to my PC or laptop using an app and wi-fi, not just to my phone. If there is an app I haven't seen it and Nokia just provides info using their app for smart phone. I read somewhere it can connect to other apps once you have the Nokia app installed, they didn't provide a list that I could see.

This is a superb scale. The accompanying app is really nicely put together. It has many additions that help with learning about your body and health. It automatically sends all of your info from the scale to the app in seconds. All the numbers are placed on an easy to read graph to see your progress over time. The scale even syncs with current apps to show your day's number of steps and today's weather. I have no complaints. Very impressed with the quality and the aesthetic as well as the functionality. I also used their help email and got a response within 24 hours. Dotting this time I figured out it was user error and set a second email saying I no longer need help. They responded anyway to made sure everything was ok. Really responsive and professional.

I did a LOT of research before purchasing my smart scale. I am simultaneously happy with my purchase and regretful of it.

The Nokia Smart Scale works as advertised. This thing is really easy to set up and use. Turn on the scale, install the app, sync. If you use other apps, sync those up. I have synced it with a few apps, including MyFitnessPal. I like the tracking aspect of the app, providing a chart of your day to day weight. As someone who analyzes numbers for a living, it's quite sweet. In terms of mindfully keeping track of your weight, I can't imagine a better scale...unless there's one out there that lies to you to spare your feelings.

I regret this purchase BECAUSE it's so easy to use. I put it in front of my closet, and I step on it before I pick my suit for the day. A second or two on the scale and I get my weight, my BMI, and the weather. And since it's winter, I feel like every morning, the scale tells me "You're overweight and it's freezing out. Have a nice day at work while I lie here snoozing all day." It's possibly that the harsh tone of the scale is all in my mind. (At least that's what the voices in my head tell me.)

Seriously though, if you are taking your weight management seriously but want to minimize the effort, this is an excellent product that does what it says it does.

Who knew Nokia still made relevant products?
