Good but not quite as expected.

To be honest I am not sure exactly how to rate this product since it is not really what I expected. I was thinking I was buying an insulated plastic tub along the lines of a reusable "insulated" plastic coffee mug. Instead this is a 3 piece ice cream storage bowl where the inner and outer bowl "lightly" snap together with an air gap between them to form the "insulation" while to cap is a single layer of plastic.The result is a package that is not as insulated as well as I was expecting ... on the other hand you can take it apart and toss it in the dishwasher with no problems. It all works pretty well. My only real complaint is that when the ice cream is really hard the two bowl pieces can pop apart as you fight to get the ice cream out ... yet a tighter fit between the parts would make disassembly for cleaning more difficult. I am on the fence here with a purchase of 2 more units sitting in my shopping cart.
Loose lid causes compromised ice cream quality.

This tub is a nice shape as far as storage and for scooping the ice cream.
The problem with it is the lid does NOT snap on or even press on tightly. When you put the lid on it can easily be bumped off. Like it is too loose. (the lid too small for the tub opening).
So, our ice cream doesn't seem to stay "fresh". After a few short days in the freezer the ice cream has ice crystal all over the top. I suspect from the loose lid.
This is NOT what we had hoped for with such an expensive item. We paid the higher price expecting a higher quality item than all the others, but to no avail.

Update: Changed rating to 5 stars>>> I received a new container from the seller and the new one actually has a better fitting lid. Not sure why the first one was loose. (lemon I guess). I feel good about the new one and it should keep ice cream less freezer burnt now.

These are perfect for storing homemade ice cream from the Cuisinart ICE-21 1.5 Quart Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream Maker (also highly recommended)! They are easy to clean and keep the ice cream tightly sealed up in the freezer, and insulated when out of the freezer and being served. With 2 containers, we can have 2 different flavors of ice cream available for our family. Wonderful products and highly recommended!

This is the third one of these I have purchased. A lot of thought has gone into this ice cream container. It has a skid resistant surface on the bottom and it is insulated to help keep ice cream frozen when it is out of the freezer. The lid is easy to snap into place and remove. I use a cusinart ice cream maker that makes 1.5 Qts of ice cream and it fits in this container perfectly. I am really pleased with the product and have even given them as gifts.

I bought it to put my ice cream in when i make homemade ice cream. it fits nice in the door of my freezer. I should have bought two though. I didn't realize i'd get so much ice cream out of such a little cream and milk. The only thing is that it is so well insulated that i have to keep the lid off for about an hour until it freezes well enough to cover or it does not get firm. I had to cover it with wrap until it freezes then put on the lid.
