Can Opener

I ordered this can opener because I have arthritis in my hands and it hurts too much to use a regular can opener. I thought this electric can opener would be the solution to my problem. However, because of the arthritis I couldn't get the battery compartment open. I had to return the can opener.
Easy to use and store

I didn't want an electric can opener on my counter and a hand crank can opener was becoming increasingly difficult to manage. This battery operated opener is the answer. It's easy to operate and stores easy in a drawer out of the way. I would definitely recommend this product.

The product did not work as advertised. It was very noisy, I had to manually turn to cut can.
It got stuck to the can so I threw it in the trash. Will never buy again. I bought one by another company and it work great until it didn't work anymore. This was supposed to be a replacement.

My old can opener was worn out so these two were replacements. The opener uses 2 AA batteries while the old one used 4 and it sounds like this one is straining. All cans have a solder seam that the opener does not want to cut the first time. The start button has to be held for a while for the opener to begin operation. I picked this one because it had a better rating but that was a mistake.
My counter top opener that unwraped the lid lasted 4 years but was not good for large/tall cans. Sangrui lasted a year but did a much bette job than this one. This can opener, once accidentaly started in drawer is hard to stop. The Sangrui opener left the lid that can be used as a short term snug fit storage cover but this can not be used like that.
Pros - Does it do the job? Yes
Cons - Have to run twice to cut the lid completely, easy to accidentally start while in storage, but hard to stop, Once cut the lid can not be used for storage cover. May leave metal slivers along the cut.
