Very Happy

This saw met all my expectations. It cuts great and I have not had any problems at all. The 45 angles were perfect every time. The slide is very easy to use and helps cut bigger boards with ease. I put the saw back in my trailer every night so I wanted something very easy and light to carry. This does meet that requirement. It does have to be screwed to a board when using, but well worth the trade out for being light weight. The only thing I would consider next time would be a different type of laser light. This one is battery operated and has to be turned off and on. I think if it was electric it would turn off when I unplug the saw. I keep some extra batteries in case I do accidentally leave it on. Oherr than that slight observation I am very happy and would buy again.
Good saw for the money

Only reason I did not mark as 5 stars is ... laser is manual and blade continues to spin when trigger released. The laser runs on battery and must be turned on and off manually. Blade does not stop when you release the trigger and you must wait for the blade to stop spinning before you can manipulate your work piece(s).
Excellent customer service and great value for the price.

This is an excellent product for the price. I have been using it for over a year now and never had any issues for what I have been using this for. Recently the blade guard broke. Called customer service number listed at gipowerproducts.com to see if they sell parts. They quickly verified my address and sent the part free of cost. If you are looking for a perfect saw in every aspect (dust collection, angles, build, brand etc.) , one would always find something to complain. However, if you are a diyer like myself, looking for a product that works and backed by excellent customer service, look no further. You simply cannot beat the value for the price and overall functionality.

It works really well except the laser pointer is not very accurate. I built a small hobby room recently using the saw and it performed really well.

I was real happy with this small light weight saw. As a retired contractor, I don't have but occasional use of a sliding myter saw anymore. It's light weight and it cuts just fine!
Pleased with the product I paid for.
NOT a saw for heavy duty use 5 or 6 days a week.
