Expensive Emerson ceiling fan and light.
Terrible light fixture Very low wattage at 100 watts, With no option to purchase stronger bulb "due to fire hazard". There's a piece of flimsy aluminum foil "protecting" light bulbs (two 50 w halogen bulbs smaller than a stove bulb to light an entire kitchen!!) from light electrical housing. Very poor lighting in kitchen for prep and cooking. Dimmer switch reaches brightest point with no indicator that it's at maximum light, then wanes-you have to repeat cycle by holding power button till it reaches max again. Would prefer to have pull chain but this doesn't contribute to my dissatisfaction, as I knew this model had no chain. This is an expensive ceiling fan with light fixture. Emerson blew it on this one. I'd return it but would have to spend $165/hr for electrician to install
Installation done by Amazon-NOT an electrician or even an apprentice. Took hours for installation.
VERY POOR EXPERIENCE with product and WITH AMAZON for sending a non-professional to do electrical work. VERY POOR PRODUCT AND AN INDEPENDENT WORKER UNLICENSED AND NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY ELECTRICAL COMPANY. UNQUALIFIED TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK-WILL NEVER PAY AMAZON to assemble or install other products.

We're reno-ing our mountain house and my husband really wanted a fan. I couldn't find one I liked until I came across this one. It's the perfect size for the eating area in our kitchen. It's quiet and it moves air. We love the remote and that the light is built in the fan and not hanging down below it.

I hate this fan.
Installed it in the guest bedroom. But it decided to quit on me just before the guests arrived. When you turn the switch on the fan starts to rotate, but is completely unresponsive to the remote. No light either. Tried to re-sync using the sync procedure, but no luck. I suspect the control unit is dead. I'd stay away from this fan. Too many things that can go wrong.
You may like it today, but just give it a few months, and it it will quit on you.

Love the fan. It's beautiful it works well love the speed of it , the fact the it can reverse directions and the brightness and dimmer function of the lights. HOWEVER, the two halogen bulbs that came with the fan arrived corroded, and I had to go to Home Depot and purchase two new bulbs after installing the fan. So after paying $259 for the fan and $135 for an elictrician to install it, i was super annoyed to have to go to the store and spend over $ 20 to purchase bulbs for a new fan. And there is nobody to speak to or email. And of course It's not practical to return a fan that's already installed over two light bulbs. If anyone is reading this it would be nice for you to send me replacement bulbs or $ 20.00

The included halogen bulbs get quite hot in use, and for the first few days create a slight burning smell. We chose to replace these bulbs with LEDs, but most LEDs we found on Amazon (both dimming and non-dimming) do not turn completely off when used in this fan. This prevents you from having a dark room at night when the fan is active (which we found annoying). We finally found one LED goes 100% off using the remote control: Feit MC/LED 20W Replacement Mini Candelabra E11 Base 3000K Non-Dimmable LED Light It's not dimable, but this was preferable to the alternative. Let us know if you find a dimmable version which also works.
