I'm giving it 5 stars because the board for the money is a great value. The company is also great to deal with and in my case I had to. The first board came in damaged and the company promptly took care of it for me. The board is easy to install and works great. It does not include any markers so be sure to get them. I highly recommend this for your office or home.

Bought two of these about a year ago, they looked well made. Mounted them to the wall using the four corner holes that are designed for that mounting. As of a couple months ago the boards are swelling/bowing out from the center as much as 3/4" of an inch. So the only parts of the board that are flush and now touching the wall are the four mounting corners :(

Nice dry erase board... It's only a dry erase board on one side and it's pretty obvious which side it is... You'd have to not have much common sense to screw that up, but either way, its a fine item. Heavier than you would think it would be but seems pretty solid.

Mine is actually not 48 inches... INCLUDING the frame, the length of mine isn't even 48 inches.. not sure if that's normal or not. Also, NOT MAGNETIC... keep that in mind before ordering.

If you don't care about the missing inch of dry erase surface, it will work out just fine for you. Nice item!

I made the mistake of purchasing the Melamine version of this white board (I was looking at two listings, one was this one, and the other was a porcelain magnetic board), but for Melamine, it's a good whiteboard and it easily wipes clean. I give it 5 stars for overall quality and price, but I really have been impressed with how clean it looks after a quick wipe with writing that is over a month old. For a consumer-grade product, that's high praise. Professional/commercial whiteboards will net you $200+ for a similar size with the same material, and even they require a decent cleaning agent. As a side note, I've seen a few complaints for people who installed it incorrectly. So to clarify, the bright-white, stippled side is the side that faces the wall. The smooth, slightly-pinkish, dimmer, non-glossy side is the one that you actually use to write. While the hue of Melamine boards vary, this one is what you would expect from them with a lower-gloss, slightly-pinkish/off-white hue. Overall, I'm impressed with the low-gloss finish (great for direct-daylight use) and the ability to wipe clean (with not cleaning fluid) after a month of continued use. I'm using industry-standard Expo Dry-Erase markers, not some cheap knockoffs. I recommend that you use the same with this and any other board.

I ordered the first white board, paid for expedited shipping because I needed it immediately. It came with a flaw on the front that markers would catch on - it appeared that whatever the white paint is that goes on the whiteboard was dripped or not put on properly. The piece of paper in the box says to contact Viz-Pro directly, and I did so, and boxed it up. They got back to me and wanted photos of the flaw and quite the process to get help. It was already boxed up, so I returned to Amazon instead and ordered ANOTHER and paid for expedited shipping. There is another flaw in a different spot on the board - again, something that the markers catch on. I am VERY frustrated and would definitely not recommend this whiteboard. Yes, it writes fine, as long as there is nothing to catch on the marker.
