The spark plug, fuel filter and air filter work fine. The carburetor does not work at all. the primer bulb never fills with gas. It Doesn't suck up or push out fuel. I had to take my weed-eater to a local shop and they told me the new carb. was faulty.
Stihl fs55 trimmer runs like new again!

Simple bolt on replacement for the do it yourselfers. Got my 2006 stihl trimmer running like new again! I didn't bother with the filter or gas lines due to other comments about fitment. The only negative was the air filter cover got stuck when closed. Other than that it's good as new!
Kit is a good value. Carb bolted up to my Stihl FC55 ...

Kit is a good value. Carb bolted up to my Stihl FC55 edger engine without issue, but I needed to remove the black covers on the mixture needles in order to attach the air filter housing.
The air filter element in the kit could not be used, as it was about 0.1" too large (both height and width) to fit in the filter housing.
Once assembled, the engine fired right up. The High Speed needle only needed minor adjustment for running at altitude.

Installed on my Stihl FS 55. Easy install, trimmer fired right up. Some reviewers posted that the air filter was too big to fit and the fuel filter would not fit the gas tank. Mine fit perfect. I did have to remove one of the adjustment covers so that the air filter cover would go on. Not a big deal. Ordered this carb kit on Tuesday night, received it Thursday morning.
