My upstairs AC went out in the middle of August. It was sooo hot and humid that it was hard to breathe after 5 mins. I always wanted to have a back up, but never pulled the trigger on a portable AC unit. Well, 100 plus high humid house in the hottest month of the year is quite MOTIVATING! I starting researcher different brands and stumbled over this one. I knew that I needed a heavy weight to tackle the space. So I was poised to look for a 10,000 btu or higher....Well, when I found this bad boy at 14,000 btu, WITH a heater pump for the winter, I took the gamble. It took about 4 days to get here. It was EASY to install....I am still trying to figure out ALL the bells and whistles, but I just wanted it to cool and IT DID a FANTASTIC job...The air was ice cold! It runs pretty quiet, it got my bedroom cool from 90 degress to a comfortable 74 degrees in about 1 hour. I LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE this unit and if I save a few pennies am SERIOUSLY considering purchasing a SECOND one!

I don't see how people wouldn't give this a 5 star rating...It would have your bed room feeling like a hotel room in NO TIME!

I have NOT tried the heat side yet, I plan on using that for my garage gym, which is about 400 square feet (20 x 20 space) but to have a COMBO system THAT is portable is a GOD SEND!

Works great but don't the hoses won't fit the add on exhaust fittings. So just buy the unit and use what it comes with"¦ also weather stripping from the local store.

Love the unit itself overall but doesn't quite cool the room enough. The description says up to 550 Sq Ft. The space I bought it for is 510 Sq Ft. On a hot day of 85, it struggles to bring the room to 75, which is comfortable for us. However, I wound up putting back in one of the two 10k BTU window units I was trying to replace for when we have company of those who like it cooler.

One of the reasons I bought this is for the heat pump option. I have not tried this yet because it's Summer, but will update this review in the winter.

PROS:
Intuitive controls.
Great phone app for controlling from anywhere in your house or the world when connected to wifi.
FAST installation.
Easy WiFi setup.
Connects to Bluetooth, but I have not tried that feature.
On wheels. Easily move from room to room or roll into a closet for winter storage.
The water drains into a bucket, or wait until the internal storage fills up to drain, but I have not had to empty the bucket or to drain the unit yet after weeks of running. I don't know how it does that.
Good value.
Very efficient using very little electricity for what it does.

CONS:
Doesn't quite do a 550 sf room, and our house holds the temp pretty well.
A bit noisy for a conversation area. The 510 Sq Ft the unit is cooling is an open floor plan. I moved it from the living-dining-conversation area to the kitchen. It is less noticeable there.

We got this and it keep our small room nice and cool. I was hoping it would keep cool all of up stairs (of our small apartment). But overall it's nice

I don't like that it keeps turning on and off, constantly. It was pretty warm this summer and I had it running most days, haven't needed to empty the water yet but even since day one it had the cycling issue. I tried moving it away from the window more and closer, adding a fan, nothing seems to fix it.
That said it works well as an air conditioner. I haven't tried it with any of the other settings yet.
You need to download an app to use it with your phone and if you buy this I would recommend using the app since the remote isn't great. The remote seems to bug out sometimes and stop working.

There is a setting that opens the blade on top, you have to physically move it once it opens to the position you want it in.
