It's perfectly the right size for a 2 to 3 ...

It's perfectly the right size for a 2 to 3 toddlers to play. Don't put the water too high. You'll end up with a flodded lawn. Put those letter pads on the ground for some cushion and stability. It's faster to blow up if you use those small air machines. After use we just hung to dry on the fence, but once completely dry, put away or the sun will bleach the plastic and it won't be as colorful. My grandson loves it and so do his little cousins!

I will admit, this splash pad is teaching my 10month old how to walk! Since the water comes straight from the hose there is no chance for the water to warm up. I wish there was a way to recycle the water so it would be a bit warmer but I still love it over all. I have yet to blow up any of the toys that are not attached since my little one is only 10 months old and i don't want her to think they are chew toys.

The three downs I see are as follows

Since the tree and the rainbow are attached you have to blow them up every single time, even though the only function i see for either of these two items is to use the rainbow as a back pillow for mom lounging as your child is playing. I thought the rainbow was meant to cast a shadow but it just flops backward leaving it useless in casting shade.

The set up for the best water fun is a little tricky. First, you use a lot of water that comes straight from the hose so it is slightly cold for little ones. Also, if your lawn is not perfectly level all the water will drain right off without giving them anything to splash in. And last i had to play with the water tubes that make the boarder round the pad for quite some time in order for the water to fall onto the pad rather then straight into the grass. When I first turned the water on almost every spring was flowing right onto the lawn.

The last thing I saw as a downfall I did not even consider until putting it away. I do not have a garage so storage and draining the pad was a little bit of a chore. Since it is a kids toy I didn't want to let water sit inside the tubes and it was not easy to dry.
Kids love it, but it uses a lot of water

What we love about it:

It's a ton of fun for kids. It's pretty easy to set up. The plastic seems somewhat durable; should last at least a couple years. The size is perfect for a toddler. It's also big enough to fit an adult and toddler.

What we don't like:

In our opinion, there's simply too many water jet holes. It dumps a ton of water when you've got the spigot on. We live in the desert, so water isn't cheap. Even if water is cheap where you live, you'll end up with a giant water puddle (more like pond) in the surrounding area. My best guess is this is putting out 2 gallons of water a minute, probably more. When you turn off the spigot, some of the water stays in the pad, but not a lot. So you kind of have to keep running it, which limits the amount of time you can use it if you're trying to be water conscious. Also, for whatever reason the air valves don't play nice with electric inflators. Even with the right nozzle attachment, the valves refuse to open up. This means you have to blow up parts of the pad the old fashioned way: your lungs. That takes a while with this.

Our suggestion: reduce the number of sprinkle holes or create some sort of valve system to where areas of the pad can be shut off from water sprinkles. Also, make air valves more compatible with electric inflators.

My two year old was a bit timid with this splash pad at first due to her lack of trust in water, but she warmed up to it after about 30 mins of playing in the puddles around it.

The only thing I see problematic with this toy is the slick inside. I'm going to buy some cute bath grip stickers and put them on to prevent falls.
The kids loved it!
