I mounted this subwoofer in a waterproof ported enclosure so I can remove it out of my boat. I have always wanted a great sound in my boat, this definitely hit the bullseye. I did the enclosure because I do not always need the subwoofer in my boat so I can remove it when I don't need it. I was worried this thing wouldn't sound that great.......I was sooooo wrong this thing bumps like no bodies business. I hooked it up to a Rockville RXM-S6 amp and this thing pushes it great and I have other channels for the rest of my speakers. You guys have my vote and so far many of my friends who have heard the system will become customers as well. My head unit is the Rockville RGHR2 love the set up. I have a set of 8" rockville marine speakers and 2 sets of 6.5" polks. great sound for the money. GET YA'LL SOME!!

I installed this 8 inch DVC sub in a sealed box with about 0.4 cubic feet volume. This little sub packs quite a punch. For my needs, this is enough bass. The sound is great. Highly recommended.

Amazing sub for the price I have a 1500 watt crunch amp class a/b wired to 4ohm each coil giving it around 750 watt RMS. I definitely think it could handle more but it's slapping! Shakes mirrors a bit just with a single 10", with my ported box tuned to 30hz shakes the whole dash on them low notes. Tried a power akoustic 2500 mono block class D but wasn't as good as the crunch amp even at 2ohms.

I have 2 12s in my extended cab Sierra and they have good bass response. Only problem I had was with mounting into the box. The frame of the sub is massive which is a good thing but I had to trim the inside of my box to get it to fit, which also doesn't provide a good seal. You can hear the air coming through only when my back seat is up so it's not a problem. They sound great and haven't blown up yet so that's good for me.
