Great cajon if you are looking for a deep bass sound and a crispy slap

A surprisingly good product. I was initially attracted to the looks but this cajon has a lot of features that are normally not available from other cajon. The plastic body is very resonant and light. I can really feel the drum vibrate as I play. The sound hole has an extended horn design going into the body, just like a subwoofer box. This design really adds a lot of bass to the sound, it is like hitting a djembe. I think this design though affects the sensitivity, it is harder to play quieter. The highs are very crispy, which I think is due to the snares being an actual set of snare wires from a snare drum. There is a lot of buzz but they have included a Velcro strip that helps mute some of the snare noise.
This cajon is actually noticeably louder than other cajons, which can be a good thing of that is what you are looking for. I would recommend this cajon for a drum set player who wants a cajon to play quieter gigs. Other cajons I have played had a very wooden box quality with not enough separation in tone between the bass and slap, but this has a very boomy bass tone and the slap with a separation more akin to a drum set than a normal cajon.

Got this for my boyfriend for our anniversary. He almost killed me over the price but he loves it. He did have a old one he built hisself, so I thought it was time for an upgrade. We take it to gathering with us, it hasn't got a scratch on it yet. It's very sturdy and has really good bass to it.
Exceptional sound

This is the second Cajón i have owned. Good deep bass, nice snare. Better than my pro Cajon. Neat paint job.
Great tone! Great look.
