Does the job for short amounts of time

Problem with ours is that it spits water all over.
We left the house and kept it pointed 4-5 ft away frim our puppy's kennel. When we got home and he was damp and the entire floor was wet - it was constantly blowing drops of water and now seems to be unable to run without doing that.
I do like the timer feature - we ended up just getting another one, spending $$$
But will keep this one as a fan

Does the job only when it's in the mood...I have used this since April in my up stairs bedroom which can become quite hot...after I figured out how to stop leakage from beneath it began spitting from the front..I cleaned the filters and it improved, but now it seems to have lost power... Sigh

This is an -OK- product. It does cool a "small area" like a bedroom. It does not cool down an open concept living/dining room. The "ice packs" they supply melt quickly and water gets used up quickly, even on the low setting, lasting about 3 hours. Wish we had spent a few more dollars and got a better unit from another vendor.

I guess I shouldn't have expected too much for only $90. I have it in my bedroom which is fairly small. It's a bit underwhelming.

Pros:
-Fan can reach pretty far
-Aside from going side-to-side, it has two little levers you can aim up or down
-Has a cool remote
-Looks cool

Cons:
-Water tank is just the bottom part - not removable, can't put the ice pack in it because the opening is too small / no way to get it out even if you did manage to jam ti in there. There's a small window on the front with min-max labels, in black, not lit, so I have to get my face on the ground and within a few inches to see it.
-Putting the ice pack in the top compartment does basically nothing. The water on its own does a little but obviously not much unless it's cold. I have to take a bunch of ice cubes and shove them in the water compartment to get the air cool
-Even with the ice cubes, and cool air blowing out of it, the room itself doesn't really cool down, it just gets more HUMID
-This "Anion" setting on it doesn't seem to really do anything
-Pressing the buttons on the cooler or the remote has a LOUD sound. WHY??

Other:
-It has a 'natural' mode and a 'sleep' mode. Both useless, don't make much sense
-Easy carry handles, has wheels to move around

For the size of this unit it actually does a great job of cooling down my office space. I fill it with 6 L of cold distilled water,place a frozen ice pack in the top of the unit and it will last approximately 5-6 hours
