Love these hand paddles. Got the red and they were a bit big for me ( 110lb woman). Would recommend going down a size.

I have been swimming with the TYR Catalyst 2 (sm) for a few years now and wanted to up my game. Bought the TYR Catalyst (Med) to try it out. The bigger fit from small to medium was good and adds to the challenge. The Catalyst definitely adds to improving your pull strength but did not feel as smooth as the Catalyst 2. They are very different in shape. The material that Catalyst was made of prompted me to return the paddles. It just felt too plastic for me. Plus, I managed to find a TYR Catalyst 2 in medium and decided to keep that instead. Just not for me but worth a try! It may work for you.

I used to use the speedo IM tech training paddles, and the strokemaster paddles, but because they were a lot thicker than TYR's catalyst paddles, they both never felt like a part of my stroke. Enter now TYR's catalyst paddles, they are thinner, lighter, and transparent compared to most paddles. It is shaped almost similar to the strokemaster, but because it's thinner, it feels like a part of my stroke when I use them. TYR's catalyst paddle are just absolutely amazing.
The only thing that bothers me is that the holes where you put the strap for your finger are not the best. I wish it was a little more spaced out.

I like these a lot, but I bought a size that's just a little too big. Still great for pull sets and working on strength, but not for long distances. I ordered the red pair, should have bought the size down. But again, still works really well, my favorite style of paddle yet. Excited to keep this pair and get another (albeit smaller) pair.
