I've been using this for a while, and from time to time I'll try different colors or different brands. None of them seem to work as well as this color from this brand. It covers my gray hair well, and the color works well with my natural hair color, which helps with not worrying about grow outs etc. A lot of the other ones I've tried even though they say they cover gray, don't. This does it very well.

TLDR: NOT as pink/dark as I thought, but I really like it! Also, use 2 bottles if you have longish hair!

So I started off with brunette (my natural) roots that was ombréd to a warm medium blonde at the ends. So first off I bleached it to get an overall warm blonde, let it rest for a few days, bleached again to get closer to a warm platinum, rested a few days, toned to get to a more neutral base, then dyed.

It took me about 30 minutes to get the dye applied and then I left it for about 40 minutes to process. At the end of application, I was super close to running out, so if you have hair aaaany longer or thicker than mine, you definitely want to use 2 boxes for 1 application!

Also, a word to the wise- any inconsistencies in bleaching or toning show!! I have patches that are warmer than others because my base color was inconsistent. Thankfully I don't really care that much, but I know some people would.

The color went on white/clear, turned a deep pink ("dark quartz", anyone?) and when washed out (without shampoo the first time!) faded to a really soft pink. Not like the pictures at all. Maybe I didn't leave it to process long enough, who knows. So if you're going for dark pink, maybe try leaving it a lot longer than 40 minutes?

Overall the product is great, just didn't exactly give me what I thought I was getting 😜

I could not get into the salon soon enough to get my grays covered, she had no openings for awhile. So after reading several reviews for different brands of do it yourself hair dyes, I chose this product. I have always gone to the salon to get my grays touched up and was nervous to try this, but I was desperate. I followed the directions completely and wow, my hair turned out really beautiful. Vibrant color, soft ends and my hair is full of body and looks healthy, even though I did not have a trim yet. I will definitely use this product again.
I used the Light Golden Brown color.

I have 3b shoulder length curly hair. 2 boxes were just enough to cover my head, but I have a lot of hair! I love the color. My hair was bleached orange color, so after dying with this, it looks like coral pink. If you have platinum blonde, you will probably have very bubblegum pinkish results. The only thing I dislike is that the product didn't dye my stubborn grays and faded quickly.

It lasts longer than the other brands.
