I'm not using them for dancing or the gym, I plan to use them in the frigidly cold doctors offices that we ladies must go to once a year, although now I'm told the new standard is every third year for me. I hate being exposed AND cold and with these your only one. They are made to be kind of slouchy and wear below your knee from the picture. I have a 30" inseam and pulled them halfway up my thigh. At that point my thigh is 18" around and it's snug but not uncomfortable at all. Will be perfect. It's got short pieces of non stretchy bands Knitted in at the top that makes the top couple inches a touch snugger to hold them up in place I assume.

These are really nice leg warmers.
They are SUPER long. I'm 5' 9" and they reach about mid-thigh without any slouching.
They are REALLY warm. I wore them on halloween this year and it was around 30-32 degrees outside. I wore them over sheer panty hose with a dress and wore a thin ¾ length cardigan to cover my arms and I was sufficiently warm without a coat on, especially my legs.
They are thick and soft feeling. The color is a more creamy white rather than a true white. And mine didn't come with any pom poms at the top like other reviewers had sad, but it did look like the picture.

These are saving me this year! They are really nice and warm and I personally clipped off the pom pons but they are kind of cute depending on what you use them for. Washable, I hang them dry and so far no quality issues and warm toasty legs. I normally wear them over leggings and over or under boots depending on size. They are quite long and if you have thicker legs they may need to stretch a bit at first. I have to fold the top down a little because my legs are not thin enough (5'7 155 lbs) but it looks good still and doesn't effect the usability at all. I have ordered more twice because I like to always have a clean pair handy here in Michigan freezing. Brrrrr.
