I wish that the receiver unit's cable would face towards the lens instead of to the back. It can get in the way of seeing the screen. Who designed this?

I bought this because I wanted to be able to add a remote control to my Sony RX100 VI.
Pros:
It works! I can remotely focus and take pictures.
The range is good. I tested several times inside of the house, around 20 yards away and it worked.
Cons:
It is big! The remote that is attached to the camera is almost the width of the Sony RX100.
The cable is too long, at least for what I need.
The little remote has a 2 seconds timer button, which I am not sure for what, but I would be happier if it was used to start/stop recording.
Other thoughts:
I have to use it more often to evaluate it better.

Works quite nicely. Easy to set up and figure out. The only "glitch" was that it was a VERY tight fit onto the shoe of my D500. Ten minutes of using an emery board to sand down the sides of the plastic mount that fit into the hot shoe and it fits perfectly.

I'm starting out with 5 stars, because so far this works great. It connected easily to my Nikon D780, and so far has worked great. I even tried it from opposite ends of my house and it still worked, even through walls. As long as it holds up I'd say it's a great purchase.
