Very happy with my purchase

Reading some the negative reviews I'm not really sure what people are expecting these days. this is SO much less than buying a dedicated edger. I have to edge around my driveway and the front of the lot next to the road.....total linear feet around 500 I'm guessing? So for my purposes it works great! If you are using where you have never edged before you will have to cut to your desired depth gradually.....not entirely shocking to me but I guess it is to others?
Well Done TrimmerPlus....

The attachment arrived as scheduled. I attached it to my Toro Straight Shaft Trimmer, model 51978; and it performed well. I was on the fence about purchasing an Echo or Stihl for $150-$300, but this $65 attachment will do for my home. I don't think I will do residential lanwcare, but if I do, then I may go buy a Echo/Stihl. Also, there is a YouTube video on how to change out the blade, and it seem to very straightforward. Go buy it, you won't have any regrets.
solid tool and easy to use. Needs just a bit more functionality

Works very well and is easy to install/uninstall. adjusting the blade height is easy enough with just the turn of a screw. I really wish you could swap the side the guide wheel goes on however so I could easier get some tighter areas where I can't go in the proper direction because of a fence or structure being in the way. If I were able to turn the head around or place the guide wheel on the other side this would get 5 stars
It'll Get the Job Done

I ordered this as my Craftsman is an older model, but I didn't feel like it needed to be replaced and I did not want to get a standalone edger. I think one's experience with this will be dictated by the power of the trimmer they attach it to, so this review is focused on those aspects not tied to the power.
Overall, it got the job done. It wasn't particularly efficient as it took multiple passes to complete what needed to be edged with several stops to clear out the guard, which clogged too easily in my opinion. Additionally, the rubber flap on the back of the guard is not attached in a way that keeps it from getting into the guard, so I now have a minimally effective rubber flap.

Worked flawlessly.....

This thing is a beast. It's a little scary at first as it bounces off the concrete occasionally and shoots out sparks, but it did a fantastic job on my sidewalk. I don't think it had ever been properly edged so I was cutting through a lot of dirt. I would have to stop every now and then and clean it out. But it held up and I couldn't be happier with the results.
