I bought this for my cats birthday because I searched all over for cat birthday cakes and this was the best thing I could find. The mold is super cute and reusable. My cat did wind up liking her cake and eating it, but I actually changed the recipe based on the reviews. She had no tummy troubles with this cake. I would buy this again and use my changes:

1. Instead of shredded chicken, I mixed with fancy feast. I still got a good looking fish cake. My cat doesn't eat shredded chicken by itself, but she goes nuts for fancy feast.
2. Don't wait 20 minutes until it cools. I waited 5 max. It was still warm, but not hot.
3. I gave it to her whole then cut it up for her because it was easier for her to eat that way.
4. I snuck dental products into her icing. I'm still a mom after all.
5. The icing is only white. You'll need food coloring if you want colors. You'll also need a small piping bag or plastic bag. I left it white as I didn't need her mouth to be dyed pink.

My boy turned 2 today so I decided to make him a birthday cake. The cake was very simple and quick to make. Kind of like the mug cakes in the baking isle. I kind of wish the frosting was different colored like the packaging. Birthday boy licked off all the frosting and took one nibble of the cake and walked away. His older brother munched a little on cake and walked away. If you have dogs or cats who eat everything then I think this would be good. But if you have picky eaters then they may not like it. To me it's still worth it for the reusable cake tray. You can use it to make different flavored cakes. Just make sure you don't put it in the oven.

This was super cute to serve for my kittys bday and to take pics with. The icing was hard to spread on the cakes though. The cakes started falling apart trying to put on the icing but maybe i didnt cook them good enough or something. My cat is very picky but he enjoyed licking and nibbling on these.

These were so quick and easy to make. We used them for my cats one year home celebration and they were perfect. My cats can be picky with foods, so I wasn't expecting either of them to like it. We decided to put treats on top as eyes and in hopes of luring the cats in. The celebratory girl didn't want to try the cake, but her brother loved them.

We had no issues with the microwave smell others are mentioning. I only came across one minor problem. I did have to cut the tops and edges because they came out uneven, but that was an easy fix. Also, it came with a candle, which we did not use and comes with a tray that can be reused!

Overall, so cute and very affordable compared to other cakes. Made our little celebration feel complete. Even if both cats didn't like it I'd still recommend for the aesthetic. They really make the occasion feel special and are the perfect centerpiece.

This was a very cute idea for a kitty birthday. I always celebrate my cats birthday but this year I wanted to give her a cake as well. Found these cake mixes and bought it. She didn't eat them(she is a VERY picky eater so I didn't expect her to actually eat them) really just wanted to get a photo op with them. So they served their purpose. Only complaint I had is that it made the whole apt smell because you microwave them.
