I've been on low carb/ keto for a long time. So I randomly ordered this hot chocolate mix to give it a shot thinking it would just taste like normal, sugar free products, just ok. But it's really good and chocolaty. Too expensive but it was good to taste good hot chocolate again.

As with most keto products, this is sweetened more than I prefer, so I was already planning to use less than a full scoop. I also only added it to my coffee for a mocha-like experience so I haven't used it any other way. I'm torn on the rating, the flavor is good, but if you've ever added pure dark cocoa to a recipe and gotten a taste of it you know what this tastes like (except sweeter than unsweetened pure cocoa). I could just add my own cocoa and control all the other ingredients I add, like MCT oil. It has very little protein, this is a fat adder with low carbs. I would prefer more protein, but I did enjoy the way it flavored my coffee and added some creaminess. 1/4 to 1/3 scoop in 12 ounces of coffee was plenty, which also made it last much longer increasing the value over cost. I used a bullet blender almost every time. Even with the bullet, and even using less than a full scoop, a lot of it settled out into the bottom of the mug. (Note the past tense throughout is because I finished the container today, I enjoyed the product, it just wasn't quite what I was looking for.)

This is an awesome keto alternative to traditional hot cocoa mixes, nestle chocolate mix, or instant breakfast drink mixes. It took me a bit to get used to the level of sweetness, as it is sweetened with monk fruit but the more I drank it the better it tasted! My husband said it reminded him of the flavored milk left over in the bowl, after eating cereal! I added mine to coffee, cream, and butter and my husband mixes his with water. He was pleasantly surprised at how easily it mixed with water and that it tasted great that way, as many products that state they taste great mixed with water actually do not. I did have some difficulty getting mine mixed all the way into my coffee but am going to try a mini immersion mixer/frother and see if that helps. Either way, it's a tasty way to get your MCTs in!

So, this is my third time purchasing this product in about 2 months. It's ridiculous how good this stuff is. I cannot vouch for its flavor inside of anything but coffee...but when you add it to your coffee, it's like hot cocoa and coffee had a sexy, yummy baby! Seriously.
