It came in looking kinda beat up. It's "renewed", but there was some significant wear and tear. The display port on the back has damage, enough that when I have something plugged into it, it looks like there glitching pixels on the screen.
Otherwise, it's not bad and does what I need for my surface pro 3.

This works great for the Surface. Used it to add USBs and add a projector for a meeting. Gives the Surface more of a desktop feel!

Slight "wear and tear" but it is a refurbished item and on my specific unit it is in locations that are very unnoticeable and or hidden. Other than that unit looks basically new and functions as intended. For use as a desktop alternative it places the screen at a good working angle and provides powered ports so makes it excellent with accessories. If you prefer portability or different working angles for other uses such as drawing or using the Pen, the dock may not be your best option but as using the Pro 3 as a desktop it is an excellent method. On a random note I originally was not aware that the sides slid out in order to place the Pro, so originally considered it a horrible design that risked damaging the charging port on the Pro until randomly decided to pull on the sides and they slid out. Many may have already known that but that note is mostly for those who may not have originally realized it or had one of those moments where thoughts escaped our minds.

As soon as the box arrived I pulled the dock and power cable from the box. Inspected what I received and only found very insignificant blemishes. Plugged my Surface into the dock and was working immediately. This will definitely improve work life from the home office.
