A questionable option only if you are already have other Brinkman lights

I'm unhappy with this order. I purchased a very similar set of Brinkman lights 2 years ago so I am familiar with the product. It seems that Brinkman is no longer selling these lights, which may explain the problems, but if that is the explanation, I think the price should be lower.

* This did not come in the OEM box. No shipping or warehouse damage. Normal Amazon box but with a plain, brown box inside. Contents of the box are protected with some paper, unsealed bags, and pre-crunched cardboard corner reinforcements. Everything here points to the seller putting this kit together from some bulk order and packaging it for retail sale. I guess this is fine, however, that means I'm essentially buying a refurbished product for near full retail.

* Power supply screams while these are on. I know these lower end AC/DC power adapters can make a bit of noise, but this has a brutal, high pitch squeal. Also note that the Brinkman lights are non standard patio wiring, so there is no getting around this.
I'm glad I was able to get another set of these (presumably discontinued) lights, but this isn't a good deal and I would recommend avoiding this if you don't already have other Brinkman patio lights.
ok but..

update**** i did find out it was the ac cord and have contacted the seller and we will see if they send me a replacement cord.

i rec'd the 1st of 2 sets the other did not show, i contacted seller and the seller contacted me right away and gave the tracking # for the 2nd set and i rec'd the 2nd set shortly after. However, the 1st set flickers and is not as bright as the second set (i will be plugging in the other transformer to the 1st lights and see if its the lights or the transformer shortly then will contact the seller again to replace which ever is bad.) (hence the 2 missing stars)
besides that the lights are larger than they look and are plastic. they are nice looking and seem to hold up to MN weather so far (keep in mind this is my 4th brand of lights as they never hold up over time) they were VERY easy to assemble. just plug in each light to the next and place the lights then bury the wires (or hide in plants) and plug into a regular outlet. also it does not explain in the description that it has a sensor light so they will turn on and off at dusk and dawn which was a bonus!
Great plug in lights

These lights are so much better than the solar light that I have used in the past to light up my walkway. Solar light work well for the first month they are installed then get dimmer and dimmer until they stop working usually within 6 months. Not these Brinkman lights. I have had them for a year and there has been no drop off in brightness and they all still work.
Brinkman light must be connected to an outlet but it has its own light sensor so there is no reason to put them on a timer. You can arrange the six lights in any orientation you prefer and they have about five feet of wire to work with when arranging the lights. I only used the two spotlights and three of the path lights for what I needed. I buried the wires between the lights so I don't have exposed wires to look at or trip over. The ground has been soaked through with rain and I have had no issue with the performance of the lights.
The stakes keeping them in place are more durable than the stakes I have used with solar lights. Over time or after heavy rain the solar lights would shift and tilt causing constant readjustment. With the Brinkman lights I have never had to readjust any of the lights after the initial installation.
Overall this product has met my expectations and I definitely recommend this product.
Really Easy To Assemble and Install And They Look Great

These are the easiest lawn lights I have ever installed. You just plug them together without any assembly. Not like the old ones where you had to assemble and insert the bulbs and get the wires inside the unit all lined up. These are self contained and even though they are plastic they look great and will last a long time. I already had a set and the garden cut the cable into. I tried and tried to rewire and for some reason the current will not travel on the re-wired cut wire, thus I just purchase another set. i plan on taking the two spot light units and incorporating them into my ner set. These lights are just perfect for accenting the shrubbery area and the spotlights we have always used on the wall out front and specifically the part that shows the house number of the home. I wish the unit had a time on it rather that the sensor. i just didn't like those sensors as you have to be careful where you lay the sensor otherwise it may or may not read the lightness or darkness of the day. wind I have found can blow that sensor in a way that it does not know if it is daylight or dark outside.
Pleasing output, lasting quality, and easy to install!

This is a great light set. I recently purchased a 4th set for my new house, but I have owned 3 sets I used for my old house. I've used these for 3 seasons now, and they work great. Living in OK's harsh climate, they have really stood up well. We have extremely cold winters and extremely hot summers. The lights have survived HAIL, sleet, snow, ice, torrential downpours and punishing heat. Initial impressions are that they are somewhat cheap plastic. Much to my surprise, they have held up well.

My biggest complaints (which are minimal) are the fixed lengths between lights. Each light has a 6' lead in both ways. This means the farthest one can space two lights is fixed.

Second complaint is the quality of the transformers. I had 2 transformers fail on my first sets. They were in different outlets on different sets. Not deducting any stars from this because I contacted the customer service number and they sent me new ones without any hassle. The new transformers have not had a single issue.

The spotlights put out a respectable amount of light (they actually contain 3 individual LED's). The coach or "path" lights contain a single LED. The coach lights "glow" more than illuminate the ground. I mean... they will illuminate the ground enough to see where you are walking, but don't expect to blinded by their output.

Overall I have been very happy with these. You'll more than likely need a few sets for a mid-sized house. I just wish Brinkmann would sell individual lights so you can add on as needed!
