Inspected upon arrival, looked reasonably well assembled. Installed in saw, using Yamabond to seal the case. Discovered the bar stud pocket and thread were deficient. Ez to correct out of the saw... not so ez installed. Corrected and finished assembly.
Saw ran inconsistently. I set the mix according to RPMs. I replaced the fuel line, fiddled with this and that... no change. Having read the reviews, I was waiting for a plug to use rather than the included compression release. When it arrived, I installed it.... voila. It's solid again.
I am a 34 year powersports/power equipment tech. We purchased this to see if it was a viable option for commercial repairs. This saw will go out into the field now, and we'll see how it lasts.

I m a certified stihl tech. , the quality on this was way about what i exspected it to be. The saw i installed this in starts and runs good as new.

I blew the piston skirt apart on my MS290 and was gonna pitch it. Then I came across these cylinder assemblies. I was skeptical because I do not normally touch Chinese parts but to buy oem, the saw wasn't worth fixing. I did a complete teardown and cleaning. Rebuilt the original carb, new oem intake boot, etc. I have maybe 20 tanks of fuel through it in the past year as it's not my primary saw. I can say it runs like a top and has more power and torque than the old 290 assembly. It's actually a joy to use again. I'll keep running it and we will see how long it can go!
Decent

Got a 039 with no compression. Cylinder and piston scored, rings seized. Went with this kit due to reviews. So far it's working good. 120psi compression. Used dirko ht to seal it. And a decomp plug from husqvarna to do away with the decomp.
Good Value!

Do not know a lot about this part. It appears good and
asking me to rate these parts for longevity after a month is less than
fair to the manufacturer and myself. All I can say is looks good and
hopefully will last long.
