Got this to add to our Polar Express x-mas tree train set.... it has LED bulb for the spot light which to me is a Plus...the car itself it mostly plastic....my biggest complain... it's not too big of a deal BUT I wish the PE on the spot light itself was backwards... So that when your running your train and your spot light on the car hits a wall and or tunnel....the signal shows the correct way... sounds petty I know BUT to me a small detail that should not have happen...

I have the Lionel Polar Express up year around. The Lionel set seemed to "need" this car to be complete as a representation of all the main characters from the movie. It is as advertised and for the time being, at least, completes my set. The "disappearing" feature works but seems more of a gimmick than a useful feature. Why have a hobo car when you can't see the hobo? I'd think even for an imaginative child the novelty would wear off in about ten minutes. But it doesn't detract, and I still give it 5 stars. Oh. Complete disclosure. I'm 79 years old and I bought this for me.
