power on-off is problematic
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 4, 2023
The functionality is great - though there are a few use problems. The power on-off function via the rca inputs was a bust for me, so I switched it to the "remote" option on the suggestion of the manufacturer. This solved the random on-of problem. It also seems prone to an output spike shortly after being turned on. I have some delay while my units power up, so this is usually not a problem for me, but it is unpleasant if it happens.
It does what you expect from a DSP with caveats

OK first the good. The unit does what it says it does. The parametric EQ is particularly handy for setting EQ in a car with pink noise as you can just correct the curve directly. A nice feature is that you can grab the EQ point and drag it left or right to center the frequency instead of typing in numbers. You still have to use numeric entry for the Q factor but the dragging is handy. It has plenty of adjustment for levels and EQ. There are a few things that need to be improved. The unit is sensitive and doesn't have the best power supply section so it can suffer from hiss. I recommend turning the input gain down to -15DB or more or you will hear it. You can also get an inline power regulator (inexpensive in Amazon) that will take care of most of it. One other thing of note is that there is a section in the GUI that says "Mixer". Right next to it are the input levels. It's misleading because that "Mixer" is actually a button you click to change screens to the channel input to output matching screen. When I first hooked it up I had zero output because the defaults on that screen are zero'd out. This is where you match channel 1 to output 1, 2 to 2, and so on until you get to the sub and want to blend the channels for the sub or not depending on your config. They need to make "Mixer" actually look like a button not just a title bar. Were it not for the high gain hiss and gui refinements, it would get 5 stars. As long as you know what you are doing, you should be able to make it work. It's quite a good value!
Bluetooth connection disconnects input...

as the title says when you have it hooked up and playing music when you connect to it using the app it will shut off audio from the wired connection and also disable the remote knob if using it, the sound quality is ok i think the noise floor is decent for its price but i want to hear the audio I'm playing while i adjust the settings...
Love this thing

Purchased this because of the features to better incorporate my mismatched 4 home theater subwoofers. It offers incredible flexability.

For my set up I have a pair of Klipsch 15s, A Sundown 15 in a custom enclosure with a Dayton SPA 1000, and a Sundown XV3 18 with another Dayton SPA 1000 in another custom enclosure. The DSP allowed me to adjust for gaps, sensitivity differences, and frequency rolloff for all woofers from the same source signal. The ability to have input matching alone is worth the price, the parametric EQ is extremely well thought out, and the output levels being either linked or individual is an incredible advantage for room correction. When I needed some support, Dayton answered the phone within 2 minutes and a tech helped me get it set up how I wanted it to work. He stayed on the phone until it was tweaked to purfection. Nice to actually be helped by someone who wants to help instead of checking things off on some evaluation form. The warranty is awesome as well.
You need a DSP

Anyone who values good clean audio needs a DSP, very straight forward to setup, the PC based software is very easy to use, user manual is is very good ( not included, must be downloaded ). The 10 band PEQ per channel is very nice with adjustable Q. Time alignment is a game changer and the ability to assign each of the four channels in to any or all of the outputs is great. Love the presets.
The only down is the mobile app, it could use some work, it is nice you can quickly change the presets and stream via Bluetooth ( $30 bt adaptor need ), you can also get a $20 remote that allows you to control master volume and change presets only. But for any EQ tuning is way better on a laptop.
It does include a ac adapter if you use it for home use or want to bench config.
Has speaker level inputs but after testing I found using a quality LOC and using the RCA inputs sounds much better, you get about 2.5~3v out on the outputs, would love to see 4~5v on those outputs.
This has allowed me to go 8 channel active in my car with a great sound stage, after tuning with a good RTA and setting my amp gains I was blown away at how much better it sounded.
You can get more expensive DSP's that are great with some more features and inputs but at this price range this is perfect.
