I really try and keep reviews short, but this one demands a lot of information! If you're not careful you will kill someone!
Overall, this is a great product for the money. We have a travel trailer and tow with an SUV, so no way to get a bike in the back. But this project took some thinking and planning. To start, does it work out of the box? Yes..... but with pucker factor! I have a KLX 230, coming in at 312lbs and will also stand on the rack while the bike is installed. That's another 180lbs! nothing bent, nothing broken, but holy cow its sketchy!
Project usage #1 ~ travel trailer.
Anyone with a camper knows that putting a hitch on a camper bumper is a terrible idea! Do people do it? yes, and I would love to know the frequency of their regret! Camper bumpers are 14 or 16 gauge sheet metal and have no strength. The photos above are the rack simply installed with a bolt on 2" receiver hitch. Nothing bent, nothing broke and it held. But the adult, responsible side of me would never ever in a million years drive down the road like that. I am not so worried about the failure coming from the rack but the bumper, one too many bumps and I see that bumper tearing into two pieces and goodbye bike. Ultimately I welded two harbor freight receivers directly to the frame rail of the trailer, installed two 18" receiver extensions that extended under the rack additionally supporting both sides. It will easily and confidently hold 1000lbs. We have put 3000 miles on it without a hiccup.
Project usage #2 ~ Lexus 400h
Additionally, I have used it on our smaller Lexus RX400h without the extra supports. WOW..... pucker factor. I only do that to go around town and get the bike to service without having to pull out the big flatbed trailer. I hated every minute of it. Still, it hasn't bent or broken and my biggest worries are the 300lb tongue weight limit on the lexus hitch. It works..... lots of rotational movement and with the leverage, the Lexus shocks are compressed like you have 3 large adults in the back, but it does work. The main frame squaretube isn't bent and the welds look fine.
So, basically here is the low down. The product seems great, hasn't broken or bent but..... I just can't and won't test its limits. It moves around in the receiver a lot and shows a lot of rotating movement, you will absolutely need a hitch lock. The rest of it operates as advertised and is really convenient. Plenty of tie down spots and will hold a variety of bikes. I am a pretty engineer minded person and I only bought this as a single piece of a larger project. With the additional supports it is perfect for what I needed and will get years of extreme use. If using it with one point of attachment, I would be stopping every 50 miles and making significant visual inspections. There is no way I would put a 600lb cruiser on it.... just no way. In the end, Newton cannot be argued with and there is a lot of leverage on that hitch.

Very good item

I bought this to transport my 75 pound ebike. It is made in China for export to the US. Overall the welds and materials are good, I am happy with the purchase. This is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. 1) Directions are OK but could easily be improved to reduce the time to assemble. 2) Ramp is good but is unstable. It is easy to knock it off when loading the bike. 3) There are 3 different size nuts & bolts but only one size included nylon lock nuts. This should be re-designed for 2 rather than 3 different sizes, and both should include nylon lock nuts. 4) The wheelbase of my bike did not fit within the space to allow for two removable rods to be passed through the wheels that secure the bike to the rack. I could only secure one of the two wheels with the rod, the other wheel I had to use my own bungie cord, and this is not as secure. I would buy this item again, overall am happy

Experience the ultimate ride with this scooter carrier! My bike has never felt lighter, weighing in at a mere 213lb when carried by this amazing carrier. And, the installation? It's as simple as can be. With the easy, one-person setup, you'll be ready to hit the road in no time. I was pleasantly surprised by just how effortless the installation was, and now I can enjoy my featherlight bike with ease. Whether you're looking to make your ride feel like it's floating on air or conveniently carry your scooter at the rear hitch of your truck, this product is a must-have. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a game-changing upgrade for their bike!
