I have one 17 lb cat and one 9 lb cat and they fit in this together and it's sturdy. Highly recommend this - we've had it for 4 years and it's still going strong! I love that you can remove the top in addition to open the side hole in case the cats refuse to leave the carrier.

Title says it all. Easy setup and tear down, cats comfortable inside, immensely easier to put cats inside with option to have the top open, easy to clean, holds up really well. I've had mine for 7 years and it's in great shape.

This is the last cat of a feral community cat colony from 10 years ago. His caretaker passed unexpectedly & he started joining our dog w his morning canned food breakfast on the front porch when let out to eat & potty in the morning. We have been feeding him since, over 9 years now. He's gone from feral & very skittish to my garden buddy & very sweet 15# chonker-boy neighborhood cat. Needing to get him a medical check up, vaccines & such, I needed a carrier that he would feel comfortable in. He got in it several times on his own the first day & even took a nap in it! As for the rest (car ride & vet stay) he has forgiven us. While it may be a minute or weeks before he climbs back in the carrier, it was perfect for taking him to the appt, spend 2 nights (bc, yeah :/ ) & he fit, it withstood a few periods of mild anxiety of him wanting out without damage & he does not like to be closed in. He's used to being a free range outdoors Tom. Another nicety is it can be collapsed for storage. We're happy with it.

It is easy to get the pet inside. No fighting or struggle. I own a cat and they definitely don't like to be put in a carrier. Roomy enough for my big cat to lay comfortably in.

I bought this carrier after experiencing an unexpected medical issue and losing one of my cats earlier this year. Her condition deteriorated rapidly and we ended up having to pack the hard plastic crate we were transporting her in with paper towels on her final trip to the emergency vet because she had become incontinent--all I remember thinking was that even that small measure of comfort was not enough and that she deserved better. The next week I took all my other cats to the vet to be checked out for some peace of mind and on the way back inside, one of the latches snapped in half on one of my other cat carriers and ended up dumping one of the kitties on the floor (thank god we were already inside when it happened!). I bought this one as a replacement after a lot of research because it looked luxurious and spacious, the polar opposite of the plastic crates I'm used to. It was easy to assemble, and I love that the top opens too because one of my cats is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get into traditional carriers. The pad on the bottom is removable and seems machine washable while the bottom is still waterproof so accidents, if they were to happen, don't have to leave the cat completely miserable (I have one friend whose baby is a nervous pee-r and always pees in the carrier on the way to the vet.... I've sent her the link to this product lol). My cats have all taken turns sleeping in this in the month that I've had it and I've recently adopted a new baby who has made the carrier his safe place that he retreats to when overwhelmed (despite the fact that I also have a $60 heated cat bed/condo....cats are weird). I absolutely ajd wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone checking it out. I was initially sold on the easy storage aspect as well, but frankly I'm afraid the cats would riot at this point if I put it away. I have four cats so right now the plan is to save up and slowly phase out the old carriers in favor of these. They are a bit large so if you have a smaller vehicle that might be something to consider but that helps the cat be less anxious I think and hasn't presented a problem with me so I'm not certain. I'm not really one to leave reviews on products unless I have a real issue with them I want to warn others about, but this carrier really makes me feel like I'm doing right by my fur-children.
