It did not look like my 20 year old machine
now not working. I wasn't certain it was the right machine for me, but followed the directions ..using something other than the 25 page with cover booklet just to see what it would do.
What it did was ..made me smile at the way the coils worked their way neatly into the holes that it had first punched into the test and then into the booklet. Will it last the 20 years of the old one? No answer for that.

Works as described. It's very sturdy and heavy. I have used on a project of about 20 customized coil-bound notebooks. My favorite thing about it is that I can adjust the starting punch position which is handy for oversized covers. I just wish it could punch more pages at a time. I can comfortably get about 10 pages and only 3 photo pages. Any more than that and you need a lot of elbow grease and it starts to get pretty loud.
The power cord is very short so I don't use the auto coiling. It would be pretty difficult with oversized covers anyway, so no biggy. For regular size paper it's very fast and I found it almost too fast. To the point where I had to coil it back because it went too far.
