I needed to drill another hole in it to fit where I needed it hung But that's because it was hung out over a covered walkway on the end of a 2 X 6. It's holding a very heavy hanging plant with no problem! This is the perfect hanging bracket for me so I bought more than one. I'll be hanging Plants in spring and summer and hanging lit up hanging lights in winter!
