Awesome Scissor Jack!

I got this for my Suzuki Forenza Wagon so I wouldn't have to worry about jacking up the car in case I needed to change a tire and for when I change my brake pads or any other maintenance. The first time I used it I connected to the car battery to avoid any fuse blowing issues when plugging into the cigarette lighter inside the car. It worked flawlessly! It lifted my car with ease and held it there while I took my tire off and checked my brake pads. After I finished I pushed the button on the wired remote to lower my car. No problems at all. This jack is sturdy and made from thick steel. It has a nice case that comes with it but since it doesn't fit in the compartment in the floor of my car I just took it out of the case and stored it inside the floor where I keep various tools and tire pump, etc. It has 2 different steel pieces that you can insert in the top which will be the piece that actually makes contact with your car's underside. One is short and one is tall so that it would jack up the vehicle without having to extend up as far, but you need the clearance from the top of the jack to the bottom of the vehicle to use the longer insert. Either one you use will be just as easy. So no more struggling with the old scissor jack twisting and turning, now you just push a button and like magic, the car gets lifted off the ground! I definitely recommend this to everyone.

This lightweight jack (17 lbs.) is sturdy and easy to use. I don't have a rig heavy enough to test the 5 ton rating but the jack had no trouble lifting the rear axle of my F-250, both tires at once, without sounding like it was working hard. A mild drawback of this jack is the slow pace of its lifting (as well as lowering) motion. (I realize that the 5 ton rating requires the slow pace to keep the current draw below 15 amps.) The jack has a solid carrying case with ample free space for a 12 foot long 12 volt extension cord (sold separately.) The extension cord is needed to reach the farthest rear tire of many vehicles when powering the jack directly from the vehicle's battery (the most reliable way to power the jack, as there are no vehicle fuses that can blow).

A use a hydraulic jack in my home shop for jobs ranging from everything from lifting motorcycles, to positioning some of the heavier projects that I work on; and of course for rotating tires. The issue is I am usually working by myself so pumping the jack handle while performing other tasks can get awkward, so I went looking for a better solution.
After some research I decided on this Reliancer Electric Scissor Jack Set as I liked that is battery powered and includes a remote, so no having to manually pumping up a hydraulic jack or turning a crank handle on a scissor jack.
The Reliancer Electric Scissor Jack Set arrived in a sturdy blow molded case. Usually cases appear to be an afterthought, but the jack and accessories fit nicely in the case and I like that the lid case has real hinges and that the latches are made from metal.
The jack, 2 lift heads, remote, and 12-volt accessory socket adapter also all appear to be of good quality. The emergency crank handle is made of plastic however; I would have preferred metal construction.
Using the jack is simple; first install either the shorter rotating lift head or the taller stationary lift head. Then attach the power cable to the remote cable that is permanently attached to the jack. After that, you choose whether you want to power the jack from a 12-volt accessory socket or use the included battery clamps and attach the power leads directly to the battery.
Note: Since the power handling capabilities for 12-volt accessory outlets vary on different vehicles, when possible I will always choose to hook the jack straight up to the battery preventing any likelihood of blowing the vehicles 12-volt accessory fuse.
I just started testing the electric jack and found the lifting action to be smooth and quiet and I have experienced no issues. I really like this electric scissor jack so far; once I have used this electric jack a little more I will update this review.

I unboxed it walked out in my pajamas and jacked up the front end of my Dodge Ram. The cigarette lighter connection wasn't great so I clamped it straight to the battery and it worked right away. If I have to change a tire on roadside I don't want to be there all day.
