We bought these to help shade our chicken coop because it gets so hot from the sun in the summer. It has dramatically reduced the temperature in the areas underneath the cloth. We put up two--one on each side of the peak of the roof of the chicken run. It was also super easy to install with heavy duty electrical ties.
