It is sturdy, compact, tarnish resistant and presses garlic. What not to like? Good product and good value.
PS- I use it with fresh garlic and apply reasonable force. I suppose it may not stand up to abuse by an 800lb brute grabbing the handles between the jaws of channel-lok pliers or the like to extract juice from petrified 40year old garlic. For the normal garden variety garlic in my fridge, it works just fine.

I should have taken my tape measure out to see what size it was because the photo appeared bigger than it actually was. I was disappointed at first because my friend had one that was much larger and I really liked hers. But I did give it a go and was surprised that it worked so well. I will still be looking for a larger tool so I can do more than one clove at a time, but I'm not totally unhappy. It would be great for the average home cook.

I use a lot of garlic and this tool aids me in getting dinner done quickly. I do have to use the tip of my knife to get the inner peel out but it comes right out easily. Clean up is a breeze. So far I have never put it in the dishwasher, I wash it by hand right when I'm done using it.
